Does anyone know how well/big Dusty and Luis were in their respective season. I see ppl hype them up/root them on but I haven't heard from either on how well they did and how big of characters they were

Luis and his fiancé/wife made it to the finale. They were a strong team. Dusty I believe also made it to the end and they were a very strong pairing as well. They're good competitors in my opinion.
I've always thought the thread should be locked in between updates when there's nothing to talk about. You'll always get pointless back and forths that no one else wants to read through. Usually from the same people

No one is forcing y'all to read inbetween. Just read the spoiler thread when it's updated. How are you going to complain it needs to be locked but yet you are still up in her posting in between? Why sign up for a message board when the whole point is to be on ongoing dialogue just to whine about it? We'll be fine if you leave.
Old Schooler and WesTracked just have a hard on for Monte for whatever reason. They must be getting paid or something.
I liked him on BB. I might hate him on this and love Tory, who knows. I go into every season with an open mind and don't live in the past. Stan fans just obsessively hating a (former) nemesis, foe, or opposition of their favorite is just the most unhinged behavior.

They both made it to the final three in their respective seasons. Dusty is strong and has great stamina. Like someone posted much earlier in this thread, he is built for the finals. The question is can he get there. Funny dude, but he lost his cool under pressure a couple times. He's a dad now, so I think that might help with him keeping his cool. Luis is pretty strong as well. I thought he was fun and entertaining on the latest TAR season. If they can form relationships somehow early, without having the numbers on their side, they will both go far. They gotta survive the early carnage though.
Making it far on amazing race doesn't translate to the challenge at all, especially with the easy tasks they get nowadays.
Making it far in Amazing Race hurts the players reputation more than their performance actually would because The Amazing Race is arguably the closest show to a Challenge final. All the players so far had it easier because they were given a disadvantage from the start so their status was negated. Cayla, James and Leo were targeted because of low numbers, the latter two were bad in the dailies. Natalie was targeted because of her partner, Wes, and Jennifer was targeted because she was the weakest girl.

I only saw Boston Rob's amazing Race season where they lost because they couldn't get a taxi or something, so no not exactly a good indicator of being good at a challenge final
I would agree with Yoshi "arguably the closest show to a Challenge final". Is it the physical abuse of The Challenge Final, NO. It's finals, is however the non-stop adrenaline push as they must complete multiple challenges as they race to the finish line. Closer in similarity than BB, Survivor, or Love Island.
Nonstop? They constantly sit down in cars or taxis lol
You have to have the endurance of running constantly whether just for a few hundred feet or a few miles at a time non-stop, you're not sitting down and relaxing at some spa smh
I'd say Survivor is definitely closer or at least showcases something you can use here. The Amazing Race is the least impresseive of any of those shows
I disagree with least impressive. I can see arguing Survivor, considering they have to somewhat survive the elements (I say somewhat because it's a TV show. They aren't stranded to fend for themselves), but not BB or Love Island.

They literally sit in cars or sit down when one partner does a roadblock. Most of the time at least one person on your pair is sitting.
All shows take a different level of talent and skill. The only part of the finale of RoD that mattered was just like Amazing Race, finding your way in a maze and stacking bricks. Most challenges on The Challenge are simple and involve a puzzle. BB is cheesy carnival games and whise the fastest for a short period with a couple endurance. Survivor is short running with team strength and 2 nerds on a puzzle or holding balls in the air for a while.
BB carnival games can be similar to challenge missions and probably more so non physical eliminations, at the very least they show a persons level of competence in random games
Lmaoo no way really?? She stopped posting him so figure they just ended

Yeah and heard he's suppose to get locked up
What did Amanda's ex do that he's going to jail for?
It's gotta be a rookie gone. If it was a vet I think it'd be known by now guaranteed. So which of these rookies r most likely to be a first boot?
Oh, ****. Well, then maybe we get a retread of the Amanda/Michele/Fessy drama. (I hope not.)
Shocking
Tori's karma

It's nothing like a challenge final don't kid yourself lol. There's so many breaks, countless teams go home because they can't dance
How is it like The Challenge? What?

BB is def the least impressive. sitting in a house and playing carnival games all summer lol
BB has been more consistent in dailies and eliminations (arguably) than anything else.
Da'vonne wasn't even good in BB challenges and adapted better here.
Finals leave something to be desired, however. Only two people have pulled it off in eight seasons.
BB carnival games can be similar to challenge missions and probably more so non physical eliminations, at the very least they show a persons level of competence in random games
Congratulations Amanda
