Ride or Dies is 20 something episodes, with a 4/10 cast, some episodes pulling 400k viewers (LOWEST OF ALL TIME), and they're paying out a million dollars.
All Stars 4 is paying out pennies, has an 8.5/10 cast, thus far has filmed approximately 7 episodes and they're trying to wrap this sh it up by purging 10 people.

The amount of filming time is far less. People also have continually complained that they want to see people for longer periods or time. This gives that to you.

Again this type of format is why people like Ace and Flora are still there. It's also why we got a matchup like Rachel and Cara. Veronica-Jasmine makes a ton more sense than Jasmine-Laurel. You're seeing strategy at play. I know that's confusing since strategy hasn't really existed since Exes 2 or thereabouts.
it's a flip side of the coin, if there's always a chance at the end to compete for them then it makes passive gameplay a good strat. so nobody really plays the game until the end like skulls.
This way kind of adds a level of desperation as the game continues. Star Holders HAVE to win dailies so they don't get comfortable and those looking to get one need to position themselves for it
