The reason I say John and Wes flopped is because John and Wes came in with hella deals and alliances as they always do and for people to be there that they hate and for them to be out the game speaks volumes.
As for Nelson he was one of the two males put on that haven't won the fact he still managed to see a early elimination is sad because someone with a half decent social game would've slid under the radar. He's also halfway decent in eliminations and the fact that he screwed up again in a vendettas type fashion in his elimination is even more sad
If my theory is correct and it's male legend vs male legend (and their partners) rotating with female legends vs each other (with their partners), then it makes sense why the people out so far are out. The female legends left are brolic and/or scrappy.
But look at the male legends left. Jordan, Darrell, Theo, and Yes. That's Bananas going up against someone from a stacked group.
All that pre gaming Wes did just for his allies to be dropped before filming and Yes to outlast him I know he's embarrassed
Wes pulled some stupid injured foot stunt and implied he couldn't do what he had planned.
He loves the idea of fooling everyone, but he's only amusing himself. I believe if he shows up, it's "oh Wes is here", and they handle him accordingly, regardless.

Yeah I feel like being a "flop" really just depends on what we were expecting preseason like if Johhny made it this far we would be like "okay that's what we thought" while Yes making this far is really impressive cause we thought he would be out first or second
