Extremely random question, does anyone know if they at least ATTEMPTED to get Tami on a challenge. Not that she ever would but Im surprised she wasnt at least on one of the earlier challenges. Hell, even Heather B. Competed on challenge 2000.

I'm wondering this to

Lol imagine Tami on Challenge 1999, 2000, Xtreme Challenge, Seasons or Sexes 1? Would've been amazing even though she probably would've quit and had some dramatic exit episode 2 like many other icons have

Jeez the prize money is 4.56 mil for that show

yen but there's 456 people

I'm sure she was asked cause Beth was always cast in the earlier ones and they're from the same season-- I think at that time she was doing acting and she was getting booked on some classic black sitcoms so maybe she thought she was too good for it by then

I asked Bacchus to delete some of the things there and to lock it. It was truthfully out of hand and let's not bring that in here, please and thank you.

I totally agree

The irony

?

Sure it's been asked and discussed many times before, sorry.

But what's been everyones favourite format for deciding elmination?

I'm drawing a blank for specific seasons and how they panned out. But for me, loser of dailies goes in is a must, then an anonymous vote, I feel like it (should) make it less political and more personally honest. And more chance of blindsiding the ring leaders. I did like the introduction of skulls encouraging people to go in.

Or if teams, both winning an losing nominate from the losing.

It really depends on the cast to bring out the drama, format can be an issue but I don't think it's the biggest issue. It's more so the adopted mentality/gameplay of challengers to play a lowkey/polite game.

We saw private voting in Double Agents and it just didn't work? The dynamics weren't interesting. We also had public voting in SLA and it wasn't interesting. It's definitely up to the cast. I can appreciate production trying to change up the formula even tho it's not working.

Agreed. Last has to go in.  I prefer the winner picks the opponent but as long as last goes in and everyone that won is safe (see how dumb Vendettas was) there's options to pick the opponent.

The Duel format also wasn't bad. If it isn't last going in the person voted in should pick.

Very true. I like drama in the show, but old school Real World drama that had ecense, but game wise I like it to be straightforward and fair, or at least tactical/strategic on an ability level.

I'm a sucker for bad reality shows, I've just binged watched Love Island UK8 and lost many brain cells! But I'd love to watch this as a purely competitive show for the challenges. I (from drunken recollection!) have more respect and enjoyment for the way rookies play the game as well as the Stars in Vs.

Ultimately I'm just sick of the same old play out. And tipsy (cheers Hauserman!) FYI if I'm on here, Im drinking!

Actually yeah, winner or loser pick is better, deviates from the pack mentality.

Loser can't pick IMO. Why reward the worst person?

It's not fair in terms of gameplay and competition, I jist think it would stop the power being in the same old hands it's always been. Typical John whose had decades of practice at Challenges so more likely to win.

If it were loser pick they have to have a smaller pool to choose from, either the other few losing half, or not being able to pick the top few

You're giving power to someone that doesn't deserve it. Absolutely can't ever happen.  If you want to flip the game win.  And let's not pretend great players haven't flopped and come in last. First episode of Rivals for example. Laurel/Cara came in last. Jonna/Jasmine should have picked their opponent...Evelyn/Laurel. But a house vote ruined that and if last picked it would have been the same matchup.

What's everybody's thoughts on The Gauntlet 2?

I loved this season when it first aired and always re-watch it but rewatching again on Paramount + overnight and I have to say this shit sucks, mainly the elimination rounds. Like the Kina and Cara elim was so staged like this whole thing is meh

The final sucked, only Susie and Cara tried to be strategic but overall it wasn't bad. Easy to rewatch it. Short episodes help.

Gauntlet 2 will always be known as the season production screwed up and missed Katie cussing out Susie and the season we were robbed of Raquel.

Spoilers for the Gauntlet 2 were crazy. Ppl were hype af.

I remember the messageboards almost breaking after Beth eliminated Ruthie in a gauntlet lmao

LOL and we come from the same message boards back then, I remember. I also remember a TON of pictures being leaked during filming from castmembers themselves. Mainly them hanging out in their days off, Ibis sucking in her tummy in all of their beach pictures like in one of her cast photos lives rent free in my mind for life.

Anybody know what this is about ? Will it air on paramount+ or mtv or elsewhere ?

Didn't know where to say this but I guess here. Paramount+ could really go up if they added everything from their archives. From MTV, we need every challenge season, real world season, road rules season, etc and from VH1 I don't know why any of the "Of Love" shows can be streamed.

they have an extensive catalog of reality and could be the leader in the genre but fail every time

I hope to see another cutthroat or three team challenge next. When was the last one? No switching between teams though.

Or even battle of the shows, 4 in a team like seasons
