I still don't get it. Someone figure this lame *** explanation of the prize fund because Danny needs to sue for discrimination.

Double post.

I haven't watched it yet- is this final worse than the format of SLA? Cuz I genuinely don't think it could get worse than that

It's an abject trainwreck from start to finish. From Desi's DQ because of that loser Enzo, to the single woman rounds, to different "time out" rules for different legs, to everyone getting hypothermia due to the terrible gear and awful weather conditions, to the very real possibility that they probably told Sarah that everyone else quit and that she just needed to finish to get the money (and rumors that she didn't even finish either of the last two puzzles).

And the fact that the money came down to a Sudoko puzzle in blizzard conditions.

It's easily the worst finale in Challenge history (maybe The Island is worse) and it pissed off the entire fanbase. The feedback is 100% negative all around the internet. Justin Booth needs to be fired.

everyone needs to listen to tysons podcast right now

speechless

Ngl I get what everyone's saying but I am here for how messy, sloppy and poorly designed this was ICONIC

Like ironically iconic in a good way

Wow I don't think I've ever seen anything like that final. What an absolute shit storm! Like what?! That was an absolute train wreck. ⚰️

It doesn't matter that Angela had less dirt than the pairs, the men were probably doing 70-80% of the job, and they all get to rest while their partner was working. So not only that she had to do more than other girls, she wasn't able to rest at all. She was supposed to go for hours for nothing?? I get her strategy, it was a smart one if it was within the rules. And she obviously thought that was the case. We had people time out before, so why wasn't she allowed? It's not like she didn't try a bit, she changed the strategy when she saw she would just work the whole night for the last place. And when I say time out, I include finding the bag or whatever Sarah brought up to justify her biggest competition being taken out. In other checkpoints you were supposed to do things as well, and you didn't get to be DQ'd if you failed. It's BS. The least they could've done was tell her she's out if she doesn't try to complete it, especially after giving her by far the hardest portion to do solo... With Desi- another robbery. Why was she punished for Enzo's inability to swim? That was such BS. Just give her 0 points. She wasn't the one quitting. I felt so bad for her. She and Angela were the best females and to go out like this is just a bad look for production... The rest of the final is just torture. That was ridicilous to watch. Do people actually think that was an easy final?? They were in danger. Great for Danny, but prod made a mess from this final from the start to finish. I don't even know how Sarah won that. I guess she didn't quit and was the last woman standing and that was enough... Just terrible, I hated the final. lol

I'm sorry but Angela deserved that DQ. Did she really think she could get by with barely shoveling any dirt? Yes production could have been more clear with the rules but she knew everyone else finished. -Anyways, Bayleigh's karma!

Cayla Queen so proud of you you did that! 2nd place again but she is coming for that crown!

Was the final a mess? Yes. If Ben didn't DQ and they brought back David or someone this would have been a lot smoother. Tbh tho the only real criticisms I have were that Desi should have been given the option to finish and production should have given the remaining people heavier gear for the snow. It seemed like hypothermia was the main killer of the final and that's production's fault for not giving them better gear. In my opinion though, this final was not as bad as SLA as day 1 still mattered with the points. The format wasn't that wanky, especially towards the end which I liked. If anything, this final was the exact same as AS1 so quit complaining yall

This was not an easy final, and was definitely harder than the flagships last season where they got canned food and nice accommodations, and proper gear.

Listening to Tysons podcast, and production is absolute trash for trying to make Tyson and Angela to redo the number memorizing portion when they had the math done correctly. And I'm pretty sure its Booth hes talking about who kept telling him to calm down. I wonder how many times production has pulled that move in a final before.

not them telling Angela she had to do 2/3 of the dirt as everyone else. Only sarah and dom finished but angela was the only one DQed.

soooooo many inconsistencies

No wonder tyson was shading the show on his social media before the show even aired on tv. He said they were forced to quit lol

Cayla is weak as hell... This food is good for you too this is ridiculous.
It may not be unhealthy for you, but it tore Cayla’s mouth up and she had zero taste for weeks. We greeted her at airport upon return and she showed us her lips and inside of her mouth all raw and tore up.

Don't forget having 2 days to tell Ben he's medically disqualified but instead flying him out to the final location and revealing the news on the spot right before the challenge. And I still do not understand the uneven final payout

Omg don't spoil I'm going to listen to it in the car on my way to work I'm so mad I wanted to be the first person to listen to it I shouldn't have said anything

Not this being your only reply on the thread-was she crying and angry about the experience or just happy to be home?

WHY DIDN'T PRODUCTION TELL ANGELA SHE WOULD GET DQ'D???
From what I understand, production did all of them shitty at some point in time. They basically never answered questions when asked and actually told them they could do certain things and then didn’t follow through on what they promised. Cayla got screwed on that last leg on the mountain, but I won’t go into details on how they screwed her. I think this is why Tyson (and Leo) have casted shade on production.

To defend production Angela did have less dirt and TJ specifically said you have to complete. Timing out is different than quitting. Or was that a voiceover? Someone fact check this
Sarah posted on Instagram, I think, that there was a sign for them all to read that clearly said there was something at the bottom of the dirt pile they had to retrieve to continue. So, Angela did not retrieve that.

And according to another post everyone timed out but Sarah and her partner so it still doesn't add up.

Technically production made the other teams stop the dirt part because production was tired and nobody was going to beat Dom and Sarah lmao.so they had people ranked for points by how far they had got with the dirt. Or at least thats what Tyson said

Danny threatened to quit because he rolled his ankle, dom asked for a medic because his heart skipped a beat.

If Cayla gets second on this show too I'll be throwing hands
I’ll have to go back and calculate, but I think she was second in the final’s points for the females when they all DQ’d

This is worse than exes 1. Exes 1 wasn't overnight and it's just a marathon to the finish line. Imagine 2 days in the snow and having COLD *** FINGERS.... HYPERTHERMIA AND TOUCHING SMALL SHARP PUZZLE PIECES THAT FEEL LIKE ICE AND DOING A HUGE *** SUDOKU PUZZLE. THIS IS RIDICULOUS
Yes hypothermia. They don't show it, but Cayla was taken off the mountain in an ambulance. Others might have been too, I don't know.

Seems like you personally know her so pleaseeee spill the tea, does cayla hate production now? Would she do another

CAYLA AND JUSTINE WHY DID U QUIT????  Queens you let me down
Hypothermia had set in for Cayla. Taken off mountain in an ambulance. I don’t know if same for Justine.

These people really quit one of the easiest finals over some snow and a sudoku puzzle?! I can't.
All of there clothing was wet from the night before. Hypothermia is no joke. Your body tries to preserve itself by shunting blood to your core. That means it is shifting blood from your head (brain) and limbs in an attempt to help you survive.

They didnt show Cayla getting lost... we saw her take a long time to eat, and then she got to the sudoku puzzle, said she loves sudoku, and then next we see, her fingers are frozen and she quits. Do you know what portion it happened in?
From what I understand, they changed the path on the final day when the weather got bad. They are mic up and we’re told they could ask for help with direction. Cayla said she came to a fork in the path with an arrow pointing back down the mountain. She asked for help with directions, but got no response. She followed the arrow. Eventually they come get her and turn her around. They tell her there was no arrow. When they get there with her they see there is an arrow. She believes she went close to an hour round trip out of the way. Oh well! You have just added an hour in freezing temperatures to your body. Game over soon as hypothermia is setting in.
