The Challenge: USA - Shannon St. Clair

I always thought it'd be weird to agree to be an alternate. She said she went because going as an alternate increases their chances to be cast in the future (outside of the vacation part). I wonder if production told her that and wonder why that's the case.

I tried to defend her as she was the star of love island. But its crazy how invisible she is on this.

I didn't find her invisible at all. I never saw her before but she stood out the most for the woman and got a lot of confessionals i thouht

Do they even get to leave the hotel though? Also the anxiety of waiting around potentially thrown into the show would make me feel sick 

I don't know if it depends on the season, but I remember the All Stars 1 alternates  and not sure which season where nicole ramos and derrick k were alternates that they allowed them to sightsee. 

I always thought she was 5,7 bc if you google her height the top 20 links says she is but on the podcast she said shes only 5,1. Now it makes me wonder how tall her boyfriend is because she herself was calling him a dwarf on love island

So y'all... Shannon was flown out as an alternate with her boyfriend Josh, and she packed swimsuits, didn't watch the show, and wasn't prepared at all. She took it as a vacation for her birthday lmao. And then after a day of relaxing at the hotel she was given 30 minutes to pack up and go to the house. She only thought she would be there for 2 weeks and had to figure out arrangements for her house, dog, work, etc.

Maybe she replaced Christmas...

She was Christmas replacement and Florita was Shannon replacement as an alternate. Florita was called by production on departure day since she is a Florida local.

Yes, they get to leave the hotel after a few days in and hangout with each other. As far as increasing your chances on getting as a main cast member on a future season it really comes down at networking and how good you are at it
