Amber would have been a great addition to the pre-Total Madness era. She is an amazing background character. Pretty, competitive, and easily bothers people. But in the new era no one has charisma, no one is likable, the episodes/seasons are long and painfully boring. So all she does is give the intolerables more airtime and add to the boringness.

Also, this isn't a dig at Amber. Kendal (my favorite) would also be a terrible addition to this tragic era. However, in the chaos of The Inferno women she was perfect. Amber would have been the same in the Dirty 30/WOTW era.
Olivia & Horacio making it all the way to the end is so random. The whole season I was assuming we were 1 or 2 elims away from them being out. I don't recall anyone picking them out as a potential strong team when the season started.

I disagree. I think in this era, she shines more because everyone else is so unlikable and phony and boring. If she were in an any other era where the personalities were more natural and charismatic, she would just be in the background.
