the child named Maya was diagnosed with tricuspid atresia, a valve in her heart wasnt formed causing the tissue between the chambers to be underdeveloped.
basically it means oxygen doesn't get all the way through the body so you end up more tired and some times have shortness of breath. As long as the surgery's are done early she should be fine and normal but didn't see anybody post about it so here it is
Definitely hard for the family--they would have known about this around 5 months into the pregnancy so at least they had a chance to prepare but never easy to have to deal with your child going through something like that. Best of luck to them all. Thoughts with Maya

Damn that sucks. Sounds like long-term prognosis is good, but that's still obviously a scary thing to have hanging over you.
