its still a tv show, we have to be entertained. I prefer shows with murderers than this one (of Love franchise). I believe like 3 of the guys from those shows were charged with murder. Still better than watching The Challenge.

Bloodlines was worse than the island, and probably so was SLA, but that can be recency bias
You missed the initial point of the conversation that was if the show was better in the JEK era than it is today, and the fact is that it was,other than the island and the ruins all the seasons of that era were actually watchable, contrary to these days, and back in the day Johnny was pretty much a "good guy" in is first few seasons, Kenny was actually kind of likable in some too like FM 2, the problem happened when they were all three in the the same season, usually with Derrick, other than that even though they are shitty people, viewer wise they are not worst than The bb alliance

Kenny was definitely the favorite of the other cast members and the most loyal but Evan was far more loyal than John. Plus Evan unintentionally saved Veronica so kudos for giving us that moment lol

First War of the worlds was actually top tier in challenge modern history, I would put it very close to 1st place, good cast, excellent boot order and reasonably satisfying end, I would have prefered if Theo had won but Turbo wasn't that bad
There's only one episode I'll ever willingly go back to watch and it's the episode where Bear sprays the fire extinguisher and Ashley/Mattie get into it

I liked it. The beginning was amazing. I got all the hype at the beginning of the season When Laurel, John and Wes were blind sided but the 2nd half of the season resembled too much of the **** we have nowadays. Josh's shit, bad foreign competitors (sorry but Georgia, Bear etc annoyed me). Second half was very forgettable and that's when I struggled to get thru it. When I notice I start falling asleep during a season then it's not that good.

I stopped watching halfway thru the reunion and just got to 2. Without it dragging on and on I probably would have liked it better. But again Georgia and Bear? Ugh just no.

These new seasons are just so boring, predictable and the 20 episode 5 months seasons don't help. If they cut it down to 12 episodes it would help.
