People tag the challenge all the time, as much as the show sucks, people in his alley actually WANT to do this show, so many personal trainers, CrossFit people, etc. want to do this show and if you go to their tagged posts, so many people tag the challenge. She probably was telling him all this stuff about the show and it made him wanna do it. There's so many scenarios. He probably didn't even know what the challenge was UNTIL he met her.
