Not completely done with the episode but I really like Melissa. Julie seems way too angry but maybe I'm not understanding where she's coming from with Melissa. I feel like Julie still didn't take ownership of her actions.

Julie loves playing the victim. Can't wait to watch her explode this season
Wow--just watching Julie make it worse and worse and she doesn't even understand that. Even if you don't believe you're at fault sometimes if you want to make things better you accept accountability for the actions of others.
Gamer said they are getting 200K to appear on this?!?!? First prize on all stars gets 250K. That's insane. Anyone not doing this is a fool besides the miz
I had the exact opposite take as KVM. Melissa seemed angry to me. Her having to comment on everything annoyed me but I still love her. I'm just very anti-grudges. I was hoping they'd fight for 2-3 episodes then become close again. Julie just seems regretful and confused, not sure where you get angry from? I do think it was some low budget greedy agent that screwed over Danny & Melissa but Julie 100% could have handled it better by owning that it happened and just apologizing. Melissa was very inconsistent.

It's fine that you're against grudges but a lot of people need closure to move past it. Melissa and Danny haven't got that and Julie's still not owning it. We'll see how the Melissa-Julie conversation goes in the next episode. Julie doesn't seem regretful to me--she seemed angry. If you're regretful you apologize you don't ever use the word "if" in an apology lol
If her story is true, which I think it is, then it just seems like she is having trouble grasping how it's her fault if someone else did it so she's getting overly defensive. She needs to accept that she hired that person so therefore she was involved and just apologize over and over again. Danny is upset but he is open to mending it with Julie. Melissa came in where it doesn't matter what Julie said, she never wanted to hear her out. That's lame to me.
I actually also think something is not okay with her, but I wonder if we will find that out through the season. I'm keeping in mind things like how she's not a mormon anymore.
I think Melissa is in the right to be defensive and act the way she did, Julie caused all of this. The fact that Julie acted so oblivious or as if it's the first time she learns any of this was really weird. She needs to really take accountability as a starting point, then they can take it from there.
I gotta watch more, Julie just seems like she's still in self-discovery mode after leaving the church. She's also clearly having extreme anxiety in the situation. Julie was naive, she feels innocent. I don't think her reaction is odd. It was 22 years ago. Move on. If a few dollars from a college tour ruined your life then you made way more poor choices. Julie tried reaching out for years and was ignored. But then Melissa said she had 22 years to apologize...can't if you ignore the call.

Agree! So far at least I don't think Julie is acting weird, but we will see as it goes

They get paid by episode 20k-25k an episode if they make it on an entire season that's what they get before taxes obviously & it was thanks to Tami that negotiated like that. They actually need them to make a season happen hence they get a nice paycheck.
Melissa is 100% right to set boundaries and end the friendship with Julie. It's not about money.....it's about a friend betraying her. Many cast members called Julie the devil back in the old days

Agreed--it's not about the money it's about the betrayal.

Wow. I don't know why anyone would pass that up. Did Tami get paid the same as the rest of the cast too, very smart of her.

Because some people gave serious job and can make the money annually without the public judging them over an edited show. Some don't think it's worth it.
I loved her on this episode until Julie showed up. It's tough though because once Julie did show up everything became about Julie. Not Julie's fault but that's what happened.

After 22 years I would have completely moved on. I would not hold that against someone. You've had time to change and grow. I'm opening to know who you are now. But I also would have heard her out at the time. That's just my opinion though.

Maybe if you had some real controversies like Mike's scenes about race from a while ago, but idk why others might decline like whoever is holding out from Austin or Key West. It's on Paramount not that many people are watching lol unless it eventually goes on MTV down the line

It's hard for most people to "move on" when they haven't received an apology. I'm sure it's not something that bothers Melissa daily but she's now seeing her face to face. I would have expected Julie to start with an apology if I was Melissa

She did with Danny and he whined about that. Melissa was stand-offish, Julie was able to read she wasn't ready for it. You are failing to understand Julie's side too. We'll see how the convo goes next week though, it might change our minds.

But she wasn't honest with Danny. And, yes, Melissa was stand-offish, predictably. I understand Julie's side and David/Toyko explained why it doesn't matter in this situation. Julie's the one that wants to make amends...supposedly. But yeah we'll see how the next talk goes.

The more Toyko talks the more I remember the good parts of David when he was on the show in 2000.
Julie's still great TV but based on this episdode and the preview I don't think she's "okay"

I'm not getting not "okay" vibes. She seemed to just be super uncomfortable and nervous about the experience. That is all I got from her.
Did you watch the end with the highlights from the season? She seemed "off" but i haven't seen her on tv in 15 years so maybe I'm wrong.

This does make me want to see Julie on a challenge soooo bad. She would be so chaotic! It would be AMAZING. Ugh I hate Viacom for screwing that up.
Kelley is so stuck up and boring
i wasnt going to watch but hearing about chaos julie ill give e1 a chance
