The cast is amazing so I'm just waiting for the horrific twists
One thing I liked about last season was that in spite of the bad twists, I still thoroughly enjoyed the cast and that's why I don't rank it all that low.

ya I liked last season a lot more than a lot of people. I like the new editing they've been doing
I'm tired of the sob stories...still good pace though to this show.
I like it because I feel like you're at least getting to know people more. They're definitely focusing more on personal connection than just strategic, which they also include for good measure. I like this new style of editing. I just need them to distribute it more fairly so that no one simply dominates the screentime and keeps you guessing.
I was honestly ready to quit Survivor after last season. It wasn't the show I loved for so many years, but this cast is PHENOMENAL. They are so good that I barely notice the awful twists and advantages. I was freaking out that Maryanne might leave. The world needs more Maryannes! She is pure joy and ray of sunshine! Every single person is likable and rootable though. Every tribal is going to lose someone I like and that's probably never happened in the shows history.

I don't need the sob stories. It seems intentional when it comes to casting and while I like this cast so far I think it often ruins casting.
The beware advantage is easily the worst Survivor twist of all time
besides the Hourglass one
I cant believe they kept this horrible twist
Well this was filmed back to back with 41 so it's not like they had time to check out fan reaction to the twists and changed it accordingly. So I'd even expect the hourglass twist to happen too and the Do or Die challenge.
there is absolutely no reason someone should be penalized for finding an advantage/idol on survivor. it makes aboslutely no sense.
no penalization if you're the third to find it. and it clearly states "beware advantage" too and you don't NEED to take it. they're only in play bc the people finding them are taking them. the whole concept could be null and void if nobody wants to take a "beware" advantage which to me quite clearly would indicate there's some sort of penalty incoming

Agreed. Hate twists but they were warned and made a decision knowing their were consequences
As much as I hate the shot in the dark twist, I'm glad they are actually using it this season. It is ridiculous so many people went home last season without trying.
Nah the beware advantage is shit, the phrases are stupid, and there's such little benefit for it, im sure if they bring it back on 43 nobody is going to take it .

But let's be real, nobody is going to see a warning about a vague penalty and think that means you lose your vote for multiple tribal councils..... they take probably thinking at most they risk 1 vote.

I'm not a fan of sob stories either. I don't mind real and authentic stories, like Mariah losing her brother to covid. But I don't need 18 sob stories especially when your story is how hard life was because youre different. Everyone is different get over it. But luckily those stories phase out after the first few episodes.
THIS SHOW STARTED? LMAOOO okay ill have to watch episode 1 today. WTF. I didnt know the new season was starting so early
It was actually surrpisingly decent--I went in with low expectations though
You will enjoy it. Very fun cast. It reminds me of Gabon
The cast is amazing so I'm just waiting for the horrific twists
Gabon one of the the best casts imo.

of course they put Daniel saying, "I love this twist. Jeff had a great idea"
my god
i dont know, i loved the premire but i might be 3-4 episodes away from checking out of this season. cant stand these advantages
The girl who went home was disgusting I'm so happy we will never see her again! Maryanne won this episode per usual queen stays on top

the beware advantage twist isn't that bad imo.

Also, do y'all think they changed the editing after the season 41 backlash?

Don't watch then

Something about this cast is so much more likeable than 41.
