Everyone families structures and situations are different. Maybe she doesn't have a strong trust worthy support group that she feel comfortable in leaving her kid in for x amount of time. Maybe she also doesn't have a good relationship with her baby daddy and leaving for 4-5 weeks can be use against her in custody case like Amanda baby daddy tried to do or Madison's parent did with Tony.

There are a lot of fun groups / activities I was a part of 20 years ago.....that I would not repeat. Nothing against anything....but I have moved on. Most people move on from things they did 20 years ago....
