Girl please. Love her but no. They got paid enough. Main reason Austin is campaigning so hard is so they can get that 100k+ check for not having to do much.
no one even knew her like that prior probably one of the most faceless replacements ever although she came back & made a name she's still slightly delusional on pay
She said she didn't think they were paid enough LOL
I think she was trying to make a more nuanced point, that in hindsight she didn't think they were paid enough to relive and offer up their trauma for the public and put their lives on display in the way that Bunim-Murray portrayed the Homecoming, versus what the experience actually was. She thinks some of her roomates may have felt like their trauma was taken advantage of. She said she thinks that some of them were naive about agreeing to do it. Which I could imagine being the case, that Bunim-Murray would lead the cast members to believe they truly cared about making a meaningful show in order to convince them to come back, when in reality Bunim-Murray wants a dramatic and conflict filled reality show.
And also, she was responding specifically to the question "Is there a possibility that there would be a second season of LA Homecoming and if it was to happen, would you be interested in doing it". It wasn't like she said out of nowhere that she didn't think they got paid enough, she was just saying they would need to pay them more to do another season. And that definitely Tami would need to be paid more, because Tami wants to go forward in her career and not go back to reality TV.
I also think the $500,000 an episode number was a reference to Jersey Shore, which she also mentioned.
Does the cast know the season didnt happen if tami didnt agree to show up lol?
Again, Beth mentions that. Multiple times. She said it showed how much compassion Tami actually has, because she was willing to do something she didn't really want to do (appear on Homecoming) because Tami knew it would be a significat paycheck for her castmates and the show wouldn't have happened if Tami didn't agree to do it.
Beth to me comes across as grateful for that opportunity. But you can be grateful and also point out that production could have treated you a little better, been more sensitive and perhaps paid you more to relive traumatic experiences. I think that's fair and I think she does a good job at explaining the nuances of what the production process was like for Homecoming.
Gurl, I thought she was infallible but ive now read something about her that has rubbed me the wrong way. I'll have to catch the interview some other time when I have the attention span for it, but bbygurl needs to chill with them delusions cuz they were all hella overpaid as it already was. For the amount of time they filmed and for how ancient their season was, she should be happy they even hit 6 figurez cuz they barely shoulda gotten 60k, tf

Being this level headed and understanding is something I wish more users in here had?
legit dont know why anyone would be bothered by someone wanting more money for a television show? Like it's not coming out of any of you guys' paychecks? People should always try to get more money, I'm sure the network made enough off of then (not just now, but in the 90s) that they could easily pay them more if they wanted to.

It's her being delusional to think she should get 500,000 an episode from an irrelevant show on paramount + that was popular in 1993. Not even the jersey shore cast got 500,000 per episode when they were popular so why she thinks she can get that with 1,600 followers on social media.

they got paid as long they stayed so I'm assuming enough to get to a 100K
More than that
Beth A said that Real World alumni came to the house for a party but it didn't make the episode so you were right PR!
