I think people issue is that they feel like the season was cast for him & the producers were giving him a win but if anything that's not his fault if they're willing to cast all his friends

Derrick was never this bad. He was a drunken idiot early on and, yes, threw a fit when he didn't get his way on G2 but none of that was an act. He was then mellow especially on The Ruins and Cutthroat. You're rewriting history here per usual.
