Typically it's because that person is better than their favorites lol
I think people issue is that they feel like the season was cast for him & the producers were giving him a win but if anything that's not his fault if they're willing to cast all his friends
His "numbers" are overrated on this season IMO
All of his alleged "numbers" except for Melinda and Nehemiah (both of his number 1s) had other stronger alliances this season that they would protect over him if it came down to it. They also didn't care about making sure he lost some people he was working with like they did with Melinda early on. There is difference between friendships and alliances like we saw last season with Brad/Nehemiah.
All these people have different connections with each other some of the alliances formed really came down with the rooms selection and how close they were during filming.
