I would go as far to say this was the biggest production mishap in the history of the show. Multiple mistakes during the final. The EW article jonna and mj mentioned there was a mistake on their memory puzzle and Janelle wouldn't confirm what the mistake was but it also gave them another advantage even though it didn't ultimately matter because they didn't finish.
Why are y'all so quick to act like Janelle is making this up? Are you that far uo Jonna's LOOSE ********? Between the article, the Melinda and Nehemiah live, and Janelle podcast it all adds up. The only contradicting statements are MJ and Jonna saying they finished their puzzle on Phase 2 10 minutes before everyone and that the mistake on their memory board slowed them down and Janelle says they finished only 2 minutes faster in the puzzle and the memory board mistake helped them bit hurt them and she's confused why they'd even bring it up.

I STILL don't understand. What happened to the test runners?? I thought they always do a trial run. They did a trial run but didnt find any of the issues everyone ran into? Are the people who create it the same ones doing the trial runs because if so, thats stupid af. Or did they just say **** it and not even do a practice run?
also the safe problems is what they get for even involving the stupid safes. Reminding me of season 37 lackluster final. They're not spies, it's perfectly fine just to watch people run to the finish line. Theyre just doing too much

The host ******* me off defending production for doing what they did instead of pausing the final, telling everyone about the fourth step, making them go back to the puzzle and release the teams 1 by 1 based on how they originally finished their puzzle as this wouldn't be the first time they had to check footage while filming.
