Iconic I teared up multiple times during the finale. What a great cast

This Homecoming was AMAZING but unpopular opinion...it's really not a great cast. Tami and David are great casting but all the others are really just blah, take out Tami or David or replace them with two other castmembers and you have no show. Maybe a nice one episode reunion but that's it.

Yeah, probably not popular.  The rest, at the very least, are great in a supporting role which you need.   You can't have 7 Tamis lol

They give the challenge 20 boring episodes but can't even give homecoming 10 episodes...

I'm not asking for 7 Tami's I just don't think the rest are dynamic. Beth could not have been more bland and inauthentic. She was there to promote her clearance rack lashes, she had zero substance. Irene as a female cop should have been dynamic but she wasn't then or now. Glenn only had his fiance's story but he wasn't even willing to be open about it. Jon is a good supporting character as a 50 year old virgin but he wasn't even open about it, but he also had the music career. Beth A is a great supporting castmember.

I wonder how the dynamic would've been if either Dominic or Aaron had shown up. Dom was so kool

I thought I read somewhere that Dom was supposed to appear in a limited way, like video chatting in or something?

I think PR said he was supposed to but he probably heard about all the drama and backed the heck out.

They were planning to have a party with different real worlders showing up for it but MTV decide not to do it like the week the cast started quarantining

I wish we would’ve gotten at least 10 episodes. Or 12. Or 16.

I wish they would’ve gone a little deeper on each of the cast member’s backstories

I definitely agree with you.  8 episodes is too little, IMO.  Maybe for the OG NYC Homecoming season 8 episodes was perfect as I doubt there was any very interesting footage that was left on the cutting room floor, but with this previous LA Homecoming series, 10-12 episodes would have absolutely been great.

But I cannot complain!  Such a great season of The Real World: Homecoming , and I am SO excited for the upcoming season we will be getting sooner than later!!  Cannot wait to see the cast of one of my favorite RW seasons as a child/of all time once again! <3

Speaking of— does anyone in the know on here (*ahem* the iconic PinkRose, for one... ;-D ) have a good idea or even knowledge on when ‘The Real World Homecoming: New Orleans’ will be premiering??  I know filming is only 2 weeks and they were done w/ filming a couple of months ago, right?  For some reason I really thought we’d get a trailer for the upcoming NOLA season :shrugs:

Aw man, that would’ve been SO great if they’d gone through with that!  Wonder what it was about the filming that made them drop the idea...

I think 8 episodes was perfect for this. I do wish we had a reunion of their reunion though.

I think notes reality shows can take from this is:

1. A good cast will make good tv

2. 8 good episodes is better than 12-16 mediocre epiosdes with a few gems.

I agree! You don't need wild parties, hot tubs and sex to make an interesting show. Cast good people and they will always deliver. This cast proved that. I hope the people in charge remember this as they keep doing Homecomings.

I don't need another cast to live up to this drama this was an fulfilling but exhausting ride. I am ready for some different energy for New Orleans.

Beth A was the gem of this season. Tami was the Queen of the season. And David was the messy one. I am sure this will get nominated for an Emmy.

Hey PR can you confirm a suspicion of mine?  They made reference to David and "9 days" and then they talked about being there for 2 weeks.  Did David leave that long before they finished or are they just throwing numbers out there and rounding and what not?

I think that's where we differ.  I thought all played their role perfectly and I like Beth S taking a backseat. She's a better fit for All Stars anyway with her type of drama. Dom and Aaron being there would have helped but I have no complaints about any of them honestly.

Anyone else think this was lowkey more entertaining than the original 1993 season

I think it was. The original season was on a crazy pace at the beginning. It was going to be one helluva season with unmatched drama and fighting. It was just an insane beginning. Then all of that died down of course after David was kicked out. The rest of the season  was relatively tame and sometimes boring still with some major events here and there. Homecoming from beginning to end was drama and entertainment no filler episodes or boring spots just all around perfection.

Yes! And that's mainly because everyone back then did their own thing and didn't even hang out as a group. Plus Tami was way calmer and more guarded with her feelings back then.

you'll think they'll do what they did with All Stars & show a look of the house & location to get the fans pumped but did nothing but a weird montage of everything we've already seen of LA

absolutely better! prolly cause they were forced to discuss things & talk about moments unlike the original were they were just living their lives & most of them was barely in the house.

+ Tami wasn't the Tami we know now she was still great television just a lot more tame- now she's more sassy, witty & clever

Not bad series. David was the best part. Tamis trash and unfortunate to have acted like that at her age. Sad really.

Exactly!  But alas, I suppose they’re still not sure about which direction to take the upcoming Homecoming: New Orleans season...

Man, just imagining a 30 second clip or montage of the roomies back then and them today.  Just a little sneak peek would have been nice, is all I’m saying ;-P

LOL whose alt account is this trying to get some attention?

Beth unfollowed Tami on instagram guess she was upset she couldn't befriend Tami and use her to sell those bogus eyelashes lol.

same thing I said lmao. The "trash" part really made me think of someone in particular....

I loved this season...i actually want more. 8 episodes was NOT enough...it was the Tami show (rightfully so) but like what is even going on with Beth...what does David actually do besides talk to himself on the phone. The world may never know.

Beth was so excited two weeks ago when I dmed her that Tami video promoted her eyelashes on her YouTube. She was like "wow really??? Where!? Do you have a screenshot?" And I posted it and she said "ahhh thank you so much". Guess she tried to reach out and Tam Tam didn't respond

Tami prolly changed her number once she got home lmaoo

"You can get my number from Jon" took me out lol. Didn't they have their cell phones on them? In two weeks they never exchanged numbers lol? So contrary from NY who were all in a group text prior to the season.
