i truly never understand this idea of casting random people from reality shows internationally in hopes that everyone around the world will tune in... like angelina from jersey shore??? no one in the US cares at all!

I disagree about this when it comes to this particular show! This is not just an American production company casting internationals forcing them down to an already establish fan base it's an actual co-production between the three channels MTVUSA, MTVLA and MTVUK creating a somewhat of a new show for their 3 audiences in mind. All three channels are involve in some capacity hence they were actually able to get big names like the acapulco shore and Chloe for those audiences.
MTVLA is the only MTV channel that still pulls crazy ratings in the 5-8 Millions range with Acapulco Shore after 8 seasons that usually has a cult fan base that follow their original cast members on their other projects & they know Chloe/Angelina/to an extend The Drag Queen over their original shows that were popular at some point. I can see this being somewhat successful in MTVLA but the only challenges I can see this facing it's their audience not liking the audio translation that is usually terrible when they do the voice over in Spanish and the format since they will have more limits as far as which boundaries they will cross since they usually get away with more raunchy TV compared to the one produced on MTVUS after the merge with CBS.
oh that makes more sense if it includes MTVLA and MTVUK. I still dont see it doing well in the US, have the UK reality shows they aired on MTVUS done well??
I'm guessing if they used Angelina vs a Snooki or JWoww this is more intended for MTVLA anyway. this seems like something that would be more interesting on paramount + tbh, i cant ever see myself tuning in for this on MTV but id check out an episode on paramount+ just out of convenience
Supposedly things can be getting crazy! I don't think Americans were ready to handle the main producer of Acapulco Shore and his ways to instigate content out of situations. Plus, these international are more dramatic than their usual CBS and ABC cast members.
So the internationals are giving us a show and the Americans don't have a clue on what to do

Maybe if it was produced by the UK EOTB producers and Skye Topic was kept miles away from casting. The still love mess and drama overseas and they aren't too soft.
Its a co-production between MTV UK, MTVLA and MTV USA. The main producer from Acapulco Shore is on set but also some of the production members for US Eotb 5 and UK Geordie Shore too. So I would say it would be airing on the 3 channels simultaneously but not sure if it's for MTV or Paramount +.
I can see this having an identity issue as far as the rules of sending ppl home since the other MTV allows cast to get away with more while US send ppl home over throwing drinks. Plus, the editing it's more trashy over there than here I can see the viewers of those countries not finding it interesting if it's too pg13 unless they do different editing each episode for each channel audiences like they did for the first season of Resitire that aired on MTVLA (R rated editing) while for Mega the editing for it was more pg13.

Atleast for Acapulco Shore Karime has on her contract that anyone that touchs her it's remove from the house. She also has her make up guy with her to do her make up on set every day on that show.
Chloe and Karime atleast for the first day of filming had similar privileges as Farrah on EOTB 2 which was to have a person to do their make up and stuff. No idea if those privileges continue during filming but I would think so lol
