I get what they're saying but I'm just having a hard time grasping onto exactly what they're asking for. So they're agreeing to appear on reality tv and that is their "job". The "job" adds additional stresses into their life (public shaming, etc), but they continue to agree to appear. No one is forcing them. So they're asking that MTV/the production companies provide them with therapy or something for a job that they willingly participated in?
Idk I'm sure a lot of people hate their job at McDonalds and dealing with crazy Karens all day but they continue to show up even though it may be taking a toll on their mental health. Is McDonalds going to acknowledge that and give their employees therapy? This could be said with literally any employer.
I think the answer here is that we need better mental health resources in general, whether through government or private providers. But I'm not sure any employer to going to take on the liability of saying, "We know our job is damaging to your mental health, here's some free therapy"!

I mean, it might be worth it to them from a financial point of view if it allows the characters they value the most to be better off mentally so that they can continue filming more and more shows. Although I don't think MTV wants these people to be particularly well adjusted so..that's a pipe dream.

I get what ur saying with the McDonald's comparison but where I think it's different is there's only a small fraction of people who do these shows vs McDonald's who have so many employees it's harder to keep track on them. Also McDonalds workers don't go thru what these people go thru as it is much more intense than a Karen who got small instead of medium fries lol
I just think it would be nice for them to reach out to their contestants expecially when they endorse mental health during their episodes. Practice what you preach. But no it's not their obligation to help these people who signed their own contracts
Poor girl she needs a ton of help, but unfortunately you have to be in a place to be able to accept that you need help
There's a LOT to the Robin situation from some digging I have done on my own, but I'll keep it short and luckily it seems like her kids are being taken care of
I wish I could do something to help her, I have been in her shoes with the same addiction. Never homeless or anything, but understand a lot. This thread is so heartbreaking everytime I open it.
I don't think MTV should help or at least don't believe they have any obligation to but where are her friends? Not sure her family situation but someone has to be able to help her. Unless they're all giving the same ultimatum I would...you can stay but no drugs and you have to go to treatment.

I think she probably burned every bridge at this point.

Poor girl. Who the hell is Danny Freise???? Her life is hard enough

Poor Robin, Mtv should help before its too late, but i guess it would bring more money doing a show in her hommage after something happens
Omg that is so sad.
What happened to her child?
Also what's wrong with her? Is she homeless?
Seems like things just keep getting worse with every update. Praying things get better before it's too late. So sad.
I cannot. :(

Why are you bringing up the MTV being involved or not? You already vocalized that, and we already moved on from the topic. Let it be.
Hope she finds the help she needs I always think back to Sexes 2 Robin - she seemed so happy and full of life.
I think she probably burned every bridge at this point.
Which cast member was closest to her? Wonder if any of them tried to help in the past
Her and Katie were best friends at one point. She was close with Cameran on her season.
I hope she accepts that she has issues and get the helps she needs
Big Bananas fan brought it up
This is so sad & heartbreaking
Everytime this thread gets bumped, I get worried. I hope she gets help soon...
Found some court cases under her name
