I don't think that had anything to do with race it was a shot at her being boring. Also, not every ignorant thing makes someone racist nor does every fight with a black person.

Joking about Nany needing a green card is racist. And the thing with Cheyenne is microaggressive. He doesn't need to be overtly discriminatory for him to be offensive.
People need to differenciate a joke from racism, making a joke is not racist, a racidt person is someone that believes that he's superior to someone because of their race, or discriminate, antagonize or have prejudice against someone because of their race, saying he's gonna marry Nany for her to have a green card is a joke, a bad one but still not racist

I think Vince took more heat than Johnny for the Cheyenne thing. It wasn't just calling her a stereotypical black name, but he was saying sh@$ like she has "terrible hair" and other things on the van. But Bananas will be unscathed with that one. I thought people were talking about the elevator thing...
I used to work with a lot of hispanics and they initiated and made tons of green card jokes. They were never offended at jokes back. They made fun of white people. Maybe it's ignornace on my part but I don't find it racist. People just want excuses to hate others.

I don't remember the hair comments. That's definitely not cool. I've only known white Chantal's so I never put race with that. Calling someone the wrong name to me has just always been saying "you are irrelevant".

It's giving me the *** of an excuse "bUt I hAvE bLaCk fRiEnDs"... Sit your stupid *** back down kvm 2.0
How about you have dialogue instead of name calling? I think he's awful for many reasons but I just don't think he's racist. He is close friends with a lot of black castmembers and I've never heard that mentioned about them. I hold more weight with that than a bunch of fans who just want to hate and cancel him.

No, I'm speaking on my experience. I acknowledged it could be ignorant on my part. I'd love to hear from people from that community having the conversation to better educate me than a bunch of strangers who just want drama on a message board.
he made green card/citizenship jokes aht nany all of bote2,hes a trump supporter, his treatment of cheyenne purposely mispronouncing her name and calling her chantel or something and sm more

a few individuals in a community do not speak for all.

This means absolutely nothing to me when I've seen footage with my own two eyes of Johnny's racist actions. You can have friends that are black and still be racist so again you in fact sound stupid. I think fans who hold racism to a high standard has the right to want to hate and cancel Johnny Bananas if need be so if racism is something you view lightly and don't care much about it would've been better you just said that rather than coming up with excuses or using your " life experiences."

Hispanics joking about green cards within their own Hispanic bubbles doesn't warrant non-Hispanics to make the same jokes. But also it just depends on person to person, and how funny the joke is. lol

I agree. That is why I said it was probably ignorance on my part.
You're too OLD to still be this dumb at your big age. If you aint learn not to be a stupid ***** by now there's no hope for you scum
I'm not sure why you are so upset. I'm having a calm and open converstion. I personally don't think I'm dumb lol. I know my character as do the people in my life. So if some anonymous stranger wants to curse me out for believing there's a difference between racism and ignorance then go for it lol. I'm always open to an actual conversation about it though!
I will not give too much of my opinion, but I do believe that we need to understand a joke is a joke. We are getting to a point where comedians are scared to tell jokes
I don't think that had anything to do with race it was a shot at her being boring. Also, not every ignorant thing makes someone racist nor does every fight with a black person.
oh no. It was racially driven. They wasnt "forgetting" her real name lmao. They knew exactly what they were doing.
Not sure why we're arguing about Johnny "she wants to date me for my green card!" bananas in this thread but as for Emy... idk we'll see what they do with her but her singing a song on a reality show and not doing the censored version when she has a language and cultural barrier probably isn't going to get her cancelled.

I can't speak for their intentions. I just know in my experience calling someone the wrong name is a petty way to call them irrelevant or boring. I have a friend group out of state and they only call me the wrong name as a joke since I don't come around a lot. I've also only met white girls named Chantal so at the time I didn't register it as a stereotypical African-American name.

I respect you trying to have a peaceful and educational conversation instead of getting heated but I want you to understand that your small friend/co-worker experiences doesn't speak for all people who have the ability to be offended by "jokes" like these. I can tell you're taking accountability though <3

Thank you. I try to surround myself with a diverse group of people and to ask questions when I don't understand/know something. I like to speak with multiple people instead of just getting confirmation bias from the first person who says what I want to hear. But I know that even I talk to 100 that aren't offended there might be 200 that are who I didn't talk to. That is why I won't get heated over this and start a petty fight like I would with KVM over something stupid. It's a serious topic/issue and something I only want to have serious conversations about. I'll always have an open mind and seriously listen to valid points.

Some of you need to learn to have respectful conversations and dialogue. The name calling and attacking so you can look woke is lame.
