If they want to be paid like it's a regular season they should expect to do what they do in a regular season. It's not rocket science

The main show only gets paid more cause MTV upped their budget for having good ratings. The competitons themselves make no difference in that. I don't think Allstars are expecting an easy competiton but their finals shouldn't be something to die over either. They're pushing 50

You don't read spoilers so you don't know but pink said a lot of the cast were pushing to get the same pay rate as the main show despite being there for several months shorter

Oh I was just talking about overall prize money but stipend? Eh. They're already there for a way shorter time. Y'all ain't getting CT pay

Honestly the missions should've been different and less similar to the ones on the main show. That was initially one of the reasons many OGs expressed interest in doing these- they were sold on the idea that they would be playing carnival games

Then they should cut the prize money to like 100k max. These old folks want to make 500k playing only carnival games? Please.

this show shouldnt have the same payout as the mainshow but thats just my opinion.

Unless its teams. 500k split between a few people isnt bad

I mean MTV should pay the all stars more and then also raise the payment of what they pay the main cast

I mean MTV should pay the all stars more and then also raise the payment of what they pay the main cast

Why?   They're paid extremely well

Yeah none of their jobs back home is paying them what all stars pays them. That's why I'm shocked a lot of people are declining

They're risking serious injury, they make tons and tons of money for the network, they have to be away for months, and newer cast members barely make anything.

Pretty legend, love seeing Katie twice in one year omg

Okay we simply disagree.  The majority of these people have no marketable skills and rely on things like OnlyFans for income.  They should be extremely happy for the app fee.  And newer members shouldn't make as much.  If you want more money win.

Wrong thread.

Is Cooley a common name? Everytime I see it I convince myself that Katie married Tonya's brother..

Yeah none of their jobs back home is paying them what all stars pays them. That's why I'm shocked a lot of people are declining

Do you have numbers? Because actually thinking about it a lot of these people that left the show ended up getting real careers and jobs that pay 70k+ a year so leaving to do this is not worth it if it's going to amount to what their normal paycheck would be.

all stars is only a month...I'm sure what they get for all stars pays more than any of their jobs pays them a month. Hell that appearance fee probably pays what their job gives them in a couple months. I mean which of these cast members are making 15-25k+ in a month back home besides yes and probably wes

First off, 70k isn't a high salary for people in their late 30s and 40s or 50s.  If that's what they're making they should sign up if it's about the money.   Average income in the US by age: Age 35: $72,005.03; Age 45: $75,118.92; Age 55: $77,381.38.   If they aren't making 6 figures there's no reason they shouldn't be doing this IF they want to based on what they're currently being paid.  The money isn't a problem

Second, even if they were make 70 that's less than 6k a month before taxes. This pays more.

Third, a lot of people probably just don't want to do this but it's not about the money.  Trishelle is just being her typical Trashelle self

Oh and some people probably are actually making really good money like Frank R, Sarah, Kina and others that would never do this (Jamie, The Miz and Dave G) but the majority of these people are likely making less than 6 figures which at this stage of their lives isn't exactly successful.

I didn't read most of this salary debate but did KVM just say making less than 6 figures at 40 isn't successful?

Correct--read the data on average salary.  Being "average" is not "successful" it's "surviving"

LOL. I guess it depends where you live, but there are tons of teachers, nurses, office jobs, law enforcment, etc who make less than 6 figures and are "successful". You are probably one of those people who thinks having a big house and flashy car equals success. But spending your life on a message board neglecting your wife and kids doesn't really seem like much of a success to me. People have different ideas of success. I'd rather work my modest wage job with lots of vacation time than work till 6pm with little vacation time for a little bit more money.

All challenge vets that have been on multiple regular seasons negotiate for set payment for the first 2-3 weeks that usually is half or more of what you stated even if they go home first they take that with them. But if they survived those weeks then every week after that they make whatever amount they negotiate for each week which can be 5k, 10k , 15k, etc.

So ppl like Darrell, Jonna & Derrick probably went home with atleast 50k on apperance after season 1. The pay scale are the same on both shows depending on amount of shows they have done and popularity the only difference is that they make more since it's longer so those vets that make it to the end make more money.

Thank you for detailing that Pink. Wow that's great money then. I never knew how much their set pay or stipend was and the only shows I can compare it to are Big Brother and Survivor. Big Brother is CHEAP they get 1k a week.

We're discussing "successful" in terms of money that you wouldn't need to do the show or take a break from your job to do the show.  If you're a teacher in your 40s and not making 6 figures you at he wrong school

Big Brother is CHEAP they get 1k a week.

That's the first time they do the show.

True. They do pay returnees way more.

Where are the receipts for this?
