I thought that Derek was kind of entertaining on Seasons 2. I remember seeing a feisty side to him when he went at it with Nany, Marie and Robb. I just rewatched that iconic Seasons 2 fight night and I forgot that it all started with him and Nany arguing.
Him and Jonna were the first team to unlock their boat after having to swim down 25 ft in the ocean to 2x each. Such a strong duo despite being a 2 person team. They finished 3rd overall cause they couldn't row their boat. Excited to see what they can do together this time. So underrated it's ridiculous

Yes then Frank for some reason got involved. And then Marie saw that has them jumping Nany so she started attacking Derek. Who got in Marie's face which made Robb come defend Marie. Derek FLINGS Robb which makes Sam step in between them to stop the fight. Marie runs up and pushes Derek who falls on Sam on a plant. Nany and Frank start to reconcile and then immediately start arguing again. Dustin defends Nany. Frank throws lowblows. Nany and Dustin laugh it off which makes Frank come back outside and Dustin and Frank almost fist fight.

Yeah the real reason Nany was mad was because she had become good friends outside of the show with Derek (and Jonna). She moved out to Arizona to waitress and stayed with him. And Cancun aligning with San Diego caused problems because San Diego had an ongoing feud with Vegas.
So it was a whole personal deal that got overshadowed because Frank being the insufferable pos he was in those days had to intervene to try to make it about him.
I don't know about that. But I remember Leroy in a live said Marlon was acting full of himself trying to act like Derek came on to him when it was the other way around and Derek said "hey, you gave me ****" lmao.

Trust me I don't either but I happened to turn on plutotv and BOTS2 was airing and I watched the last half of the season and he was involved in drama more than anyone outside of San Diego and Marie. I think he didn't get a lot of confessionals to tell his side of the story but he was always arguing with someone and I always sided with him lol.
His storyline made me tear up. Always tough to lose someone to those kinds of circumstances. I'll never stop admiring how much the Cancun casts support each other.
