Wes has always been hyperaware and played into things, but his Total Madness era turned me all the way off with that working with Bananas bullshit and gassing Dee up. and we know he was also gassing Nehemiah up for szn 1 so I'm expecting the two of them together to be annoying af.

Wes' political survival cagey-ness game was its strongest in Exes 2, but his strategy game was pretty terrible. At the start of Episode 6 (the mini-final episode), after the Banana man fell, with 14 people left in the game, the alliances stood as:
Floaters (people that Wes thought he could pick up for his alliance or he did not actively have working with him):
Jay/Jenna (layups), Zach (and by extension) Jonna, Sarah (not really, she had no problem cutting Wes' throat)
Now, Wes thought he was in wayyy better terms with Zach, Sarah, and Leroy then he actually was but that doesn't excuse what he does next.
Wes and Theresa win Episode 6 Daily and Adam and Brittany lose. What is the best move for Wes here? You throw in Jay and Jenna. No questions asked. You have no attachement to either player and they suck as a team. Keeping Adam in the game is good for Wes because Brittany is terrible and Adam is working with you. What does he do instead? He throws in Johnny and Averey. So he's without a doubt eliminating one or two of his alliance members right now when he has all the control in the game.
Johnny and Averey eliminate Adam and Brittany and in Episode 7, Jay and Jenna win trivia and throw in Leroy/Nia. So Averey loses to Nia and now Wes' alliance is: Wes/Theresa, Nia
Episode 8, Leroy and Nia win and Wes works his magic to get Zach thrown in. The only teams left at that point are Leroy/Nia, Wes/Theresa, Sarah/Jordan, Jay/Jenna. Wes/Theresa were 100% at the bottom of that pecking order and were going into the elimination if they don't win the daily. Bananas coming back just screwed them a little bit more.

Preach! That Total Madness schtick is when I lost all respect for Wes. That's when I realized what a fake he is. In a season that seemed built for Bananas Wes working with him all of a sudden was the final straw and proved to me that they're all just there following a script. After that as far as I was concerned Wes could stay gone.
