Aneesa. The longest running vet that the series has.
This over-the-hill, out of shape behemoth has been leeching off the show for 20 years. She had a few good pop offs back in the day, but other than that she's provided minimally to the show. Her main storylines involved being injured or being a blight to her team. She's too lazy to actually train for a season. Now the only content she provides is winning an elimination here & there (useless when you can't even complete a mile run) or blubbering when the rest of the cast wants to get rid of her for being the dead weight she is. She may win a daily from time to time, but she's too dumb or too afraid to make any power moves. Now she's been revealed to be a peeping Tom too- a great look for a 40 year old woman. She's a joke. I don't see her ever coming close to winning & she's just embarrassing herself at this point.
After watching the first few episodes of this season it's the first time i'm having a hard time getting into the show. In fairness I started watching around Battle of the Exes but what i enjoyed about the show was seeing people that you watched on Real World come on to the challenge and show growth in their characters. With all of these people from international shows it's impossible for someone to know and have watched all of the shows they've been on and it leaves me feeling "If I should even care".
They don't need to only cast from Real World or MTV but make US at least a priority. Look at Rookies like Natalie A, Michaela, Michele or Jay. They came outside but its easier to be familiar with who they are since most people who watch The challenge also watch Big Brother and Survivor. It's just confusing how they still have people from most recent Real World and AYTO seasons that they could still have cast. Did they really think Gabo, Renan, Tracy, Bettina would be better casting than people like Justin, Keith, Marlon, Katrina, Averey, or CeeJai?
This season is very similar to War of the Worlds 2 where (LIke the UK Team) the rookies aren't nearly as familar with the game and how it works to realize they're getting played. Only ones this season that seemed to have a grasp of what they were getting into were Tommy, Corey, Michaela, and Michele (The US rookies).
wym? I think these people are fending for themselves in the language department so far.
Where MTV is ******* up with the intro on new players is explaining where they're coming from and if they come from a show where another player is coming from (Tacha and Esther) explain that relationship.

Yeah they should really have done a better job introducing the rookies and maybe showing their highlights. Ex. Emy and Emanuel's relationship, how did they perform on survivor, few clips of them being beasts, fighting, etc.
I too blame MTV for just throwing in these people with no context. If they're going to call them "the top international spies from around the world" (lame but ok), explain WHY to people

Exactly - I didn't even know Emy and Emmanuel were on a Survivor season together. Who was in Survivor season with Turbo?
Like episode '0' only intro'd rookies in the eyes of the vets. That should've not been the case. I get maybe it could've been a nightmare getting some of the show clips due to licensing stuff, but just having Emy explain who she is and her relationship to Emman and vice versa would've been a fix.
So I've been reading the ratings thread and the challenge has been getting low ratings. Honestly I'm not surprised as the show just isn't all that good nowadays. There's honestly ALOT that needs to change about the show and I'm gonna list what I personally think needs to change.
The Casting-This is a BIG one. I've been talking about here for the longest time. Stop casting the same core group of people over and over and over. It hurts this show more than it helps it because for one it doesn't really encourage legit gameplay. Like think about it, Why make a move on someone when you know they're gonna be on the next season to return the favor? Factor in that they wanna make this shit a job, they're really not gonna shake the table and they're not gonna really play to win because if they do they'll **** off production and not get cast if they make a move against CT or another one of their prized *****. It's all about keeping a status quo and that status quo ******* sucks and needs to change. Also, bring in rookies who are useful and will play the game. There's no need for someone Like Big T to be cast on this show..And while I like International Players they need to bring it down a notch with them, If they're going to keep casting people from different countries they need to be actually interesting. Like I'm sorry but there's no need for someone like Kyle when we can just as easily get someone american who can do just what he does(which is nothing tbh) We need more people like Bear(he's a creep but you can't deny he wasn't boring) and to a certain exent Dee.
The formats-The formats of these past seasons ain't been cutting it. Like there have been some good ideas but for the most parts...yuck. Like this agents/spy shit is terrible. Can we get something original or better yet get a simple format and theme? Like. None of this extra shit like Skulls are needed.
PRODUCTION- This is also a big one. They honestly ALL need to be replaced because it now seems like they're doing what they like instead of what the fans will like. Not a single soul likes Josh but that he keeps getting on because that one ***** like him? Then they let people like Backpack and Wes get away with Murder but then will Ban Paulie and CM because of them talking shit(and in Paulies case an IG that wasn't even that bad? Stop playing favorites. And they need to stop making the cast miserable every season. It doesn't look fun and it drives castmembers and viewers away. Make this show fun to watch again.

The casting is just a mess....these people hardly understand English but get cast for a show they probably never heard of...

That's all I got for now.
