I personally didnt want to add alternates until I was told filming had started and everyone tested negative or was approved....If I made another switch it's over that.

Brandon being an alternate isn't too surprising. Syrus being one is surprising considering he had a decent amount of screen time last season. But I guess Beth and Alton not being on, hurt that.
Honestly we didn't need Syrus flopping again and then having an excuse to pretend he doesn't suck. Still would have been better than many others. Brandon deserved a spot. Hopefully Tyler pulls a ****** from 37 and gets removed episode 1 and replaced by Brandon.

Maybe possible drama. If Derek and Ryan were to flirt, I'm sure Tyler would be very high school about it. But also, just bc they're gay doesn't mean they will flirt. Though I'm sure producers didn't think that through. Lol

That one stings for sure lol Yeah, usually it enraged me knowing 'what could have been' (I love that thread on this site by the way) but I also like to know if some of my favs were ever really in consideration (Elka, Anne, Veronica, etc) or if they were just names originally tossed around then moved on from.
If there were to be a Real World vs Road Rules format, they would probably have to put Ryan on the Road Rules team and Casey on the Real World team in order for the teams to have a gender balance.

Maybe but I think we undervalue how much they wanted Melinda. Of course, I'm shocked they wasted flying out Jemmyye to be an alternate.
