The thing with Emilee being casted is simply because she is from The Real World Cancun. I feel like MTV treats Cancun like they do both Las Vegas seasons and Austin. They're highly favored by MTV and simply being from that cast is enough to get you consideration. Case and point- Arissa being casted last season. That was the biggest WTF for me because she's not known for her one challenge. She's known from being from a highly popular season. (I love Arissa by the way).

MTVs obsession with trying to make Melinda a main character on the Challenge was very weird to watch real time back in the day. neither her nor Danny were compelling or good competitors yet MTV was so insistent that we like and root for them

Just give us the best cast possible regardless of anything else. This is seriously so embarrassing for them and disappointing for us.
