Idk, I dont get why the location is important. All they need is a beach right? I'm assuming Hawaii/LA is too expensive and thats why they're going international with it? Im surprised they wouldnt go with Mexico first. Colombia is beautiful and I'd personally like to see it again on a show where the location means more than just filming scenery for scene intros.
Colombia was happening but then the protests started and that put a hold on everything since it's a liability they had to change location.
Its international because they are casting international people and they can't film in the states.
I've never been so excited for a show to come back + the cast announcements, yet here we are again with countless amounts of US reality TV shows and SOO many stars to choose from, but yet let's pull randoms from all over the world that nobody knows or are familiar with SMH :(
If the international reality star was on a US show previously, it makes sense in that case to have them on EOTB US (ie: Chloe, Harry, Francesca, Marvin, Emily, Cam, etc. from THTH1&2).
Casting international stars for The Challenge and other reality shows makes sense when there aren't already international versions of such. Not for nothing, but there are 14 other international versions of EOTB. Why didn't they get casted/try gettin on those/their native countries' EOTB first? At least the audience would be familiar with them and enjoy them.
Maybe MTV forgot their best seasons were filmed in the US with all US reality stars. I'm all for the push for more diversity on these shows, but there's enough diverse American reality stars to pull from and prioritize casting over international strangers. The international location & people were a total flop last season.
My expectations are so low now so no point in getting my hopes up lol, but I'd be lying if I said I'm still not itchin' for the announcement to see what kind of shit show casting/production are tryna serve us now.
(Also just realized I said the same thing on page 1 of this thread -- still feel the same obviously & feel vindicated that it turned out being the lackluster international flop I expected lmao)
Yah, I dont get the international casting either. Unless its someone who will pull in US viewers, I don't see the point. They must really want a specific person if they plan on taking the location internationally.
So sad to hear about Kiyanna! I feel like she definitely would've BROUGHT the drama we needed!! I kinda still have hope for the cast though, Gamer has been saying he thinks the fans will like it

I'd rather have Keymarie from 17 over kiyanna
They will until the editing/producers ruin it lol
I just want/wish Justin Combs would show up....and I KNOW wintrr/Helga Pataki would do it for attention/exposure....
