Because of who his father is I feel like Derek is going to be way too cocky and think he's better than everyone else. Best case for him he wins the same way Josh won. Otherwise he gets cut when people finally get fed up with him.

He wants to look woke. He's a superfan and playing into things have been complaining about over the few seasons. But a real "woke" person would connect with a diverse group of people who also benefited their game and wouldn't make nominations based on anything to do with race, gender, or sexuality. It's pandering and I find pandering to be verging on racist...white savior complex is a real thing.
