Vendettas was a horrible format. The fact that 3 people who won the mission were voted in on separate occasions and the fact that there was an all guys tribunal on a girls elimination day was stupid. Cara winning makes people forget what a massive disadvantage the girls were at the whole season
That really kicked off the new trend of daily challenges not mattering since even if you were on the winning team you could still get bullied out of the troika and voted in. Cara did well because the girls never had any power to send her in and the guys wanted to keep her around as a strong partner for challenges.

This is what ruined it for me. You shouldn't win a mission and be able to go in.

Yes!
But this brings me to why was Natalie stupid enough to let the guys get away with an all male tribunal and believe them when they said she was safe?! Hadn't she seen them lie already. I was saying, wtf?! She wasn't even fighting for a spot.

She thought because she did their bidding they'd protect her. She got what she deserved honestly. Jemmye Nicole and Natalie should have said the three of them should be the troika. Devin would have backed them but Jemmye and Nicole knew they were safe.

I forgot how horrible the dailies were in Vendettas with Zach and Tony essentially picking the teams every daily and then putting themselves and their alliance in the troika lol it was seriously a very boring season except for some elims. But one of the worst formats of all time for sure.

So stupid. Tony and Zach made a joke out of her because they knew she would do exactly what they wanted both weeks. Please tell me that was her rookie season.
I've seen people say Final Reckoning is the worst Challenge season of all time. It's not even the worst season of the last 5 years! I would much rather watch FR than boring Vendettas any time.

FR was a mess format-wise as well with the mixed sex pairs, voting, redemption format where you lose the redemption but stay in the game, and editing wise where they put the elimination at the beginning of the ep and then the daily at the end and constant random TBCs every episode. But in terms of cast and drama it was pretty amazing so it's definitely not bad in forms of entertainment. Not even bottom 15 seasons imo where Vendettas is definitely bottom 6 or 7.

final reckoning was horrible because it gave people literally no shot to get back in the game from redemption. Like Britini & Chuck literally went to redemption and never got to fight their way out. Not that I care for either but to not even participate in a mission ( chuck) or an elimination is beyond ridiculous. Same with Jenna, Jemmye, Veronica, CT, etc - if they didn't win a draw or whatever it was they just all got sent home. Hated that format the most - vendettas def screwed the ladies though which was ridiculous. Which is why I stand by Dirty 30 was the my fav of the three

totally agree with final reckoning with the redemption not being fair for those who didnt even get to compete, since they were so obsessed with purges back then they should have done like an additional purge challenge for redemption house (more similar to dirty 30) where everyone got to compete

Eh, I didn't care about that part of the format. I just look at it like any other purge on the shows. If anything, people complain FR gave people too many chances to keep coming back, not to mention even if you lost the double cross, the people who won could bring you with them. But anyway, why I like the season is because of the entertainment value it brought from start to finish. Rookie Dayvonne was an instant gem. I don't care what anyone says about Paulie today, I think he was a great heel this season as a rookie. And the last scene is one of my all-time favorite Challenge scenes ever.
The only thing I thought was great about Dirty 30 was Jordan's performance in the final. The girls' drama was particularly annoying. Cara and Camila (not just talking about thr Leroy thing) were insufferable to me this season.
Of the three, Final Reckoning all day! None of the three compare to what came next: War of the Worlds aka the greatest season of the modern era.
When did it become socially acceptable to hate vendettas? I've been in hiding because I've always thought the season was extremely forgettable and boring but I always see people referring to this and final reckoning as the last good ERA lol

lol Dirty 30 was my fav of the 30's so far but we all have our own opinions. My favorite format was double agents - just didn't care for a lot for the cast.

Yeah I'm confused too because I used to get hate for hating it lol

really?? I think the only good thing that came out of vendettas was a few good elims. the format was absolutely trash as were the twists and the final lol. I always thought it was up there with Rivals 3, Bloodlines, etc as one of the worst

Generally speaking if I hate something people are going to pretend it's good for a while lol
People like Tony (no idea why), love Kam's debut and John lost to Devin so people made it into so much more than it was. Plus a lot like(d) Kailah and Cara beat Zach. Little things that people thought made it a great season when it was Rivals 3/Bloodlines level bad IMO

I didn't see this (or any season after Dirty 30) while it was airing, so I'm just seeing them now through a different lens from people at that time, I guess. Vendettas was boring. I don't even care about Devin beating Bananas and Tony voting him in. Bananas IMO kind of sucks at eliminations anyway for someone considered an all-time great. He's a finals guy. Kailah was well-liked because people didn't like the way Cara and Camila treated her on Dirty 30, but then she goes and does worse with a group of girls to Kayleigh. And she showed in the final she had been overhyped as a competitor guys would want to run with. Cara smoked her in the running and Bananas was right, she only made it to the final 4 because Kam had to bury a log. Someone wrote an article pointing out Cara's strength being short-term color memorization on many Challenges, so given the win came down to that, this final was a breeze for her. lmao.
Zach and Tony are boring with power. Love them or hate them, I would take the Lavender Ladies with power over them! But as far as the guy regulars go, this season just made me realize that I need to give Wes props for being so entertaining when he is manipulating the game (even though it doesn't always work haha). How many on the show can pull that off? Not Zach and Tony... zzz...

Ah gotcha. I mean I liked a handful of things (the mercenaries this season were great, there were some great elims, Kailah being messy/making a final, Kam winning 3 elims, etc) but overall the season was just a mess.
