Not necessarily true. There's people like Amber, Nelson, Cory, etc that need someone to do the mental/puzzle part of the finals cause otherwise they're doomed. Just look at Amber in the final 4 mini final last season getting stuck on math for hours lmao then there's stronger mental people like Amanda who probably needs a good physical partner to win.
Then there's people like CT and Ashley who are well-rounded and can win with any partner as long as their partner can keep up

Well 1. Like you said, CT had a good 50-70 pounds extra on him, he wasn't ready for that final, much different story now that he's back in shape and 2. He was running against the arguably the top 3 best final runner of all time in Jordan and then Derrick who is also no slouch as long as he has someone to do puzzles for him (and he did)
Nelson I think can beat him as long as he has the right partner. He's not as dumb as Cory so he still can do puzzles. I honestly think the best chances for us to have a new winner are with Ed and Logan however.
