I don't even feel like that exchange was genuine. It felt like that final confessional she gave during Double Agents where she tried to reframe her flopping again as helping put a woman of color in a position to win the Final. Completely out of left field.
Fessy gassed out on his first final - and punked out in his second always getting fourth. Annessa, while not great in a final, technically finished 3rd on Duel 2 - and finished with the same amount gas he had. Therefore, they are the same when it comes to a final. Case closed :)
