He seems really heartbroken over Fessy, and not just for show, you can tell he is still genuinely hurt Fessy screwed him over like that.
The night before elimination Fessy and him were hanging out drinking beers and were planning on traveling together and becoming roommates after the show. They were both newly single and decided to travel together and go meet women and have fun and newly single men. That is how close they became since the previous season, this was literally the night before elimination. Then comes elimination night and he knows something isn’t right with Fessy, and said that when Fessy went down he realized Fessy was working with Tori because he didn’t look disappointed and wouldn’t even look at him. He said you could feel something was off in the air. Fessy was very fake to him.
During the challenge where they had to wrestle on the moving trucks he hurt his thumb, and it came out of joint. He said we don’t know this but the cast hurts themselves all the time but they pop their own shoulders back into place at times etc and don’t tell production out of fear they will be sent home. This is why he didn’t tell Production and him and Cory put his finger back into place, but it was so swollen he couldn’t even make a fist. Fessy knew this and during the elimination intentionally was stomping his knee into his messed up hand, making it worse. On top of that he broke the face of the helmet and was throwing dirt in his eyes and lifting his body and slamming him into the ground. We didn’t see how much worse it was. After the first round he felt so defeated, physically and mentally and emotionally that he didn’t even try as hard and knew he was going home. On top of that, he had PTSD from losing to Rogan the previous season doing the same thing.
After the elimination Fessy tried hugging him and whispering sorry and Nelson was shocked he would dare do that after all that. He said if he could he would have punched him in the face but he knows he’s grown because he didn’t even allow himself to run his mouth how he wanted to.
Nelson thought Josh really wanted to go against him until after the show was done being filmed when Tori told him Josh begging to be thrown in was an act, that she didn’t put Josh in because he begged her to keep him safe, and as a friend she did that for him. Nelson was shocked to learn this, and after seeing this tonight he lost respect for Josh for doing that, and wonders if he did all that for show for the cameras.
Jay and Josh supposedly argued more than we saw and Jay seems to dislike Josh a lot now. Josh went to Jay and told him he isn’t voting for him, to vote for Nelson, only to see tonight Josh voted for him. Jay doesn’t understand why he would do that, seems to be over Josh.
Nelson is also mad Fessy didn’t give him and Cory a heads up he could see who voted for who, because that is what blew him and Cory up with Wes, who they were working with. Nelson and Wes are close in real life so when Wes found out those two voted against him they looked bad. They couldn’t understand why Fessy, as a friend, wouldn’t give them a heads up once he saw things were going south for them. He didn’t need to tell them everything, but once he saw shit was getting messy for them, why not tell them some info?
Nelson still hasn’t spoken to Fessy since they filmed, said Fessy hit him up over a month after filming ended on his birthday and said happy birthday, he loves him and regrets ever doing what he did to him. Nelson never replied and seems very hurt still. Not even angry.
Darrell said that Nelson has grown a lot since he first met him on Dirty 30, and he’s grown to be a better man. Nelson thanked him and they agreed doing that show can change you for the better or worse. Some people grow worse as they do the show and lose themselves in it. Nelson is happy people feel he’s finally growing for the better. He also said his mom slapped him for how he spoke to Kailah last season and he knew he needed to stop acting up because his mom isn’t having it anymore and getting upset with his former behavior lol.
Darrell said that after Nelson left Leroy came for Fessy’s head in the bus. Leroy befriended Nelson and was being there for him throughout, trying to help him, and he thanks Leroy for that. He said Leroy and Kam saw through Fessy and kept asking Nelson if he can really trust Fessy, that he shouldn’t trust Fessy, but Nelson kept defending Fessy. They wanted to work to get Fessy thrown into elimination but Nelson kept sticking his neck out for Fessy only to be screwed over by him. Leroy and Kam kept telling him “Fessy made the final on his first season, cut him sooner than later” but Nelson as certain Fessy would keep him around and take him to final if he could. Nelson is really kicking himself over those decisions and should have listened to Kam and Leroy.
Darrell saw Fessy huddled up with Tori and Devin, and hanging with them a lot out of nowhere so he knew what Fessy was up to.
Nelson said him and Tori’s relationship isn’t the same now. They were good friends for years in real life and he was hurt she would screw him over for a guy she just met.
Nelson said everyone in the house felt stuff happened between Tori and Fessy while they were there but they claim nothing did, but if you were there there were signs stuff happened. Also signs they were working together that Nelson ignored.
Nelson holds nothing against Devin and said he would have done the same thing because Nelson came for Devin the previous week and then argued with him etc. but that Devin was on a power trip and you can’t give off that energy when no one is scared of you. Devin isn’t a threat physically, but is very smart so maybe he is scary when it comes to puzzles lol.
The whole house was always trashing Amber M, being rude to her, and the girls always sizing her up. Nelson felt bad for her because people there were treating her badly because they seemed to feel she was a non entity they could beat etc. and he doesn’t understand treating people like that because she hasn’t even done an elimination yet for you all to be speaking about her like she’s a nobody.
