Housemates nominated other housemates for possible eviction and the housemates with the highest number of nominations are up for eviction ( normally 4 housemates or above) then the public votes for who they want to save. Tacha was always up for nominations in her season cause the housemates hated and was scared of her and she always recieved the highest number of public votes. It was either her or Mercy winning that season and her disqualification made it even easier for mercy as Mercy dominated the final polls. It was not even close

If it's anything international vs US based, they totally should have casted more international vets ... There being only 3 (Kyle, Big T, Nam) seems extremely lopsided. But I'm sure I"m just pointing out the obvious ...
