Yes but having to shut down production down for 2 weeks seems like more than enough to justify a shorter episode length for the network. Then again this is probably costing them a ton of money so MTV may force them to fill the episode count to make up for it even if it means less days off, TBCs, etc.

I don't think Ashley has a lot going on but she's more likely to go stir crazy than others so I could see her out too...

I don't know why people are pretending this is such a big deal. What difference does it make I'd Amanda's chilling in a hotel room or shooting the show. She's away from her kid and she's here to make money. The only impact is if this makes the season weeks longer.

They are planning to remove some rookies from the cast, and replace them with more well known vets. Alton, Ruthie, Kendal, and Johnny Reilly are preparing to go into quarantine.

I would. Most of the time purges are just random missions production decides are important. I'd much rather see elimination rounds
I didn't like the "randomness" of it either but I don't mind a purge to start. Purges should be mini-finals. The first purge on Vendettas was good as was the one where Devin and Jemmye were sent home during that season. Final Reckoning was a mess

Bloodbaths are fine but if we get one again where there's 4 people then the winner of stage 1 needs to get a spot in the final. Shane and Amanda should have had a spot with Cory-Nelson & Amanda-Nicole battling for the second spot.
They can have shorten the season film wise and still have 20 episodes again if they make the challenges/eliminations back to back or not as spaced out as they usually do.
The wotw 1 purge is the best tbh. The first one not the second, since it tests running and puzzle skills. If they have to do a purge, they need to have puzzles involved since if you cant slove them, you aren't winning
