The episode was okay but it was completely missing cast introductions, where are they now and more of a reunion. Episode should at least be 60 minutes. To think this is the first time we are seeing Trishelle, Alton and Arissa in years and nothing in the first episode with the 3 of them. The first time we are seeing Teck and Ruthie and zero interactions with them. Huge letdown.
To be fair they all met up in 2019 and this show allowed the cast to all be together at the airport so there was probably no "omg I haven't seen you in forever" moment filmed. It would've been fun to have them see each other for the first time walking into the house like Big Brother
is this worth checking out? i really have zero interest in the actual original show
Why are you on the site? All the other reality tv threads are dead.
good q - these are the people i grew up watching.
I think the show delivers for any person that likes reality competition - but if you were a fan of the Real World/Road Rules days you'll love it. So many amazing people we don't see anymore and a lot of real personalities. At least give the first episode a chance - as an old school fan you deserve that for yourself lol

Not to be negative and drag production but it was bound to happen. Watching the Aftershow was confirmation the life guards were SUPER SLOW to help people drowning. They should've have multiple guards out near every puzzle piece in case someone panicked in that cold water. Rewatching the footage of Ruthie's head going deep down under water flailing her arms around for help only for the life guards to slowly paddle her way and throw his paddle at her is EXTREMELY irresponsible.
This is commons sense safety measures for a competiton with no life jackets in deep water.

Watched the episode twice! So good! The music, the energy, everything was just perfect. I just want a clip of the 90s party to replay over and over again lol Teck and Jisela completely shined, as did LT. He still has that competitive energy and I love it. I felt bad for Ace, a part of me wish they made the first challenge a non elimination so we could get more of everyone.
The episode was so good. Lol. I wish there had been more introductions. Hopefully for season 2 they make the premiere longer so we can spend more time with these vets we have been asking for years to see. Teck and Jisela were my favorites of the episode. I need Teck to give challenge commentary every season. Jisela being the standout female amongst these "more athletic " girls was a surprise. I wish the water hadn't been freezing. It would have been nice to see a mission without a bunch of DQs and seeing the same six ppl basically doing the mission. Other than that I would say this was a great first episode. Way better than double agents.
A "**** They Should Have Shown" would be amazing for this. They couldn't even squeeze in 60 minutes into a premiere on a streaming service so I wouldn't expect it. Paramount Plus is super lazy clearly.
Votes should be anonymous. The theme wasn't thought out. The losing captain going in is dumb, then guys like Mark are going to make it fair to where that person gets to chose everytime. That eliminates drama and strategy.

Anonymous vote is kind of played out for me, i like the open discussions. I think more drama can come from it.

it really would be!! But they will be paying us dust they didnt approve of a quarantine special apparently. Doing a casting special and throwing in quarantine clips would have been amazing

When is the last time we had a true anonymous vote? I'm all for the public discussion but ppl are less likely to make a move and just follow majority.

Ace telling Kendal she's the hottest 40 year old ever--perfect
I do wish we got more of an introduction before the mission

That's so dumb...nobody was drowning. They were just panicking. Learn to swim or float on your back.
Agree with this 100%.
derrick is annoying af on the aftershow
I love that Derrick ran around to look at the puzzle first--dude you know you can't solve these things--get out of the way

He talked way too much for me, why wasn't Ace or LT there??

Other than Jisela not surprised at who could and couldn't get the pieces lol
Surprised Big Easy even tried.
I would love to see the b roll from this season

Looking at the options it was obvious Ace was going in against LT
That plunger comment by Aneesa had me cackling lol

Everyone who had a moment in the episode provided something, I'm bout to rewatch. I never felt that way about the challenge in years
