I mean, this is a brand new idea in my heaad so i am just thinking-- but the real reason Nelson never had a shot yesterday was because they played to 2. Even if he won the first one, by rounds 2 and 3, thheres no possible way he can win against that size. The other matchup I am thinking about was Kyle and Theo. I havent even convinced myself its a good idea but was curious if anyonne had thoughts. Thhe other part about it is-- do we remove hhall brawl? its one the few eliminations where it is literally 90% about size, especially withh playing to 2. I dunno, im curious what peoople think

I don't have an issue with Hall Brawl but I wish they had more variation with eliminations. I'm in the minority that didn't like Seasons 2012 however the concept of Endurance, Physical, Mental and Strategic was great. My favorite eliminations will always be the ones that are about "want". Dead Man's Drop & The Elevator especially. Even the first Inferno--the eliminations were generic but it was about who wanted it. Like Katie was willing to die to beat David.

Completely agreed. I love Knot so fast. All variations of that one are excellent IMO. Those are the best eliminations to see who's really the most well rounded. I also don't have an issue with Hall Brawl. But one round gives the "little guy" a much better chance at winning. I think it's an interesting idea and reduces some of the size/strength advantage and gives towards the want. I like the elevator, Pole wrestle favors larger players but has the enough of "want" aspect for me. call me crazy i actually really likedd Jenna and Tori's elimnation last season,
I guess the perfect example for me is any elimination that Derrick K can win against a signifcantly larger guy, is a totally valid game to play for elimination. I literally think Derrick would beat Fessy in pole wrestle or a variation. Maybe not this variation they played this season, but like the one Vendettas against Joss. . But in Halll brawl, especially going to 2, Derricks "want" couldnt get him that win. I think its an issue.

Okay, we've established that Fessy ain't sh**. But, didn't TJ always say you can do WHATEVER you need to do in order to win hall brawl? Specifically hall brawl and pole wrestle. So I was a little thrown off when he gave a warning.
Fessy uses his weight instead of his actual strength. I noticed that during last season. Nelson on the other hand actually uses his strength when it comes to anything with physical contact.
They haven't always been able to do whatever on pole wrestle. TJ always used to be yelling at the people to "stay on their knees" or "no elbows" and such. It's def evolved and he hasn't ever stopped them from going at it but still.

I'm kind of 50-50 on the season so far. I didn't think the "going after champions" idea was good and it started a chain reaction that has lead us to this point.
Usually you would've had Joseph vs. Lio or Mechie or Nam or another rookie or younger player. That would've gotten them a lot of story right off the bat.
Now we barely know anything about the rookies because the stories have been about vets.
