This cast is so good and I'm loving the scenes they show of the rookies but I'm worried the editors and producers are going to ruin it by shoving Wes and CT down our throats. Did either Amber even get a confessional yet? MTV brings in all these rookies just to ignore them lol
This was kind of talked about in the spoiler thread...but I think part of it is because CT and Wes were targeted from the very start and became part of the storyline.
In TM we had a lot of rookies thrown in earlier.
I obviously love the vets but I'm also interested in a lot of the rookies. I think it would be edited differently if the rookie teams were thrown in these first 2 episodes.

I'm actually liking all the rookies this season. Aside from the Amber ghosts, the little we've seen of Gabby, Meechie and Lio I like them. Natalie and Lolo are obviously on another level but even Joseph I didn't mind at all.
What's most annoying about the mission was it wasn't even about swimming or teamwork or speed. The whole everyone chooses who to eliminate missions really need to end. It would have been better if it was a simple whoever gets the most kills out of the ice wins or have it played in heats where the first whatever amount of teams move on to the next round. It was really hard to tell who was doing well.

Lowkey missing the days with only MTV people that I actually knew some of them before debuting on the challenge.
Casuals had a FIT when AYTO was introduced now look where we are now. All different types of shows and people not even from the United States. I would've rather them took applications from fans
I feel like the challenge has lost its DNA and true identity with the addition of these other networks/shows. I feel like before the addition of CBS and all these random shows they were more care free now everything is so force and serious with the addition of the movies theme too. Them forcing these annoying terms Idk why ; it has become so dry and unappealing to me.

Yes, they have really ruined it. The missions are so awful and boring now. It's been several seasons of trash missions. They have turned it way too strategic but then ruin the strategy with dumb twist. It was more fun when the cast was all from the same community and knew eachother. The family friendly version sucks. Give us the drama but also give us fun light moments so that it doesn't get too dark. There is no balance. I have so many gripes lol.

Yes, they have really ruined it. The missions are so awful and boring now. It's been several seasons of trash missions. That's a great point, it they wanted the show to be more strategic then go for it, but don't put silly twists in the game like the red skull that undermined it entirely.
This format is like 95% perfect, it gives a lot of power to the daily winners, but you also can't gang up on one person/team because they can just steal your partner at a moments notice. There's absolutely zero reason why a red skull twist was necessary and it's gonna effect how people play later on in this season when they have to try and get a skull.
They created the poor structure on WOTW2 that made it super easy for one alliance to gang up on the same people and skate to the end and then they want to try and blame them for taking advantage of it with the red skull twist

I think the problem is that they're trying too hard to focus on creating twists and uncomfortable situations now. The best politics have come out when the game is simple and there's a lot of room for people to manipulate and maneuver. The last few seasons have taken all true gameplay drama away.
This episode showed how good CT poltical game is....
He knew he made a huge mistake by hurting Kam feeling, so he immedialty went to Kam and let her know that he now understands who the boss is in the house.
Most vets would have yelled or threaten Kam. Probb won't work on Kam but you never now with the steal.
Also he asked Cory for a weak female partner to stay low profile.

I agree! I personally think the only people from cbs that have been great characters as far as an MTV show goes are Day and maybe Paulie. I want to like Natalie because she looks like an outspoken beast but for some reason I think she is a better fit for CBS shows than MTV She doesn't even look like she enjoys being there.

You can't say someone is "laying low" when they threw in Wes/Natalie. If they don't find game play entertaining then why are they watching?
People are complaining but maybe the show is shifting toward game play like Survivor instead of childish drama. People can say many things about Aneesa but the one thing that most, that are unbiased, can admit is that throughout her nearly 2 decades on the show she's always found a way to be relevant. You can dislike someone and be honest about them. See me regarding John.
Also, they said since XXX so they're talking solely about TM and 2 epsiodes this season in which she won both missions, through in CT and has been featured heavily. They just want "new people" to be the stars but those new people keep flopping. Look at this rookie cast so far.
