He needed to eliminate a competitor as he needed to win comps (or have Xmas win comps) for him to get to the end. Taking out Dani could easily have been done later. Cody-Memphis with Cody winning POV--he puts up Nicole then Memphis goes home. Takes out the second best competitor (or 3rd if you want to say Tyler is better than Memphis at comps).
Explain how taking out Dani helped Tyler? He basically did the dirty work for Cody and Nicole yet doesn't see it.
