The Challenge: Total Chaos - Dee Nguyen controversy

I totally agree with you farswell7. This is how MTV is. As a black man, what Dee tweeted was insensitive and deserved a reprimand, but not a firing. If we are going to allow Jordan a pass as to that wasn’t his intent,I call BS. Before Dee’s irresponsible response to a fan challenging her for not doing enough to support BLM, look at her past twitter history. Dee’s intent was far less intentional than Jordan’s. She did a lot to bring awareness to the false narrative of negativity towards the movement. I never recall her doing anything near egregious as Jordan, Alex K, Camilla, and many others. Jordan’s mockery of black people is totally unacceptable - I don’t care what him and Nia was arguing. And for nia to defend this behavior, speaks volumes of her.

MTV gave camila a platform to save face and did the same w Jordan. I’m also disgusted by mtv selective performance activism.

Most of the ppl trying to cancel Jordan didn't even watch the real world. He didn't come off racist to me either.

regsrdless i don't think MTV should be cancelling anyone anymore. Let us watch our tv and move the f along.

Yeah but them firing Taylor over past racist tweets opened up a can of worms. They should've never done that. Dee was understandable. I mean her tweet wasn't even as offensive as it could've been and any other time it probably would've slide but the Taylor thing was stupid of them. Now if they don't ban Jordan for his past racist actions, it's gonna look super bad on MTV for their selective favoritism and performative activism.

Nia has grown up a lot she seems mature on that afterbuzz thingy. I forgot how much she loves talking lol

I thought the same, too. She did look absolutely stunning, too.

But it just shows how much she's really grown & thriving in life for her to put everything behind her & has been focused on her happiness/well-being. She just needs to let Karma do her work.....as JJ said, look at how he has to run back to her now to help him get out of this hole that he's dug for himself after how dirty he did both The Queen & Marlon (he couldn't put in a good word for Marlon to come back over the years?). Now his check in jeopardy, Hollywood stopped calling & what happened to his clothing line? I know she's doing what she feels is the right thing for her spirit but she needs to step back and let MTV crash & burn.

Nia did her charity work the year. Let muva live and continue to thrive in her REAL career and not MTV clownery that Jordan clearly needs and she doesn't. I highly doubt MTV called her and was like "hey can you help him out blah blah blah". Nah Nia said she's choosing to do this because clearly she sees something in Jordan we don't, she always has. The situation everyone speaks of included her and this is his bread and butter that is gonna be snatched and she clearly thinks it shouldn't be based of some dialogue between the two of them yearssss ago. So she's helping him out and sometimes as friends you stick your neck out for people you probably shouldn't because you see the good in them. That's why y'all became friends in the first place, we've all done it at some point and for me the take away in their convo is forgiveness. Nia is in her thirty's and like sometimes you gotta let shit go and move on. It was nice to see and hear her because she's super lowkey, which is good too. So yeah it's not that deep, what else we talking about?

Nia hates MTV.  She wouldn't even take that call if they asked her to do anything.  She is genuinely friends with Jordan, and trying to help him.  Not sure how successful she was....

this is why "stanning" is something that needs to be left to children. Blind loyalty to people you do not know is a sign of mental illness.

it's not about Jordan it's about consistency and not making a mockery of actual issues by MTV. Anything and anyone that doesn't see that and participates willingly in this little game is lost

From the 3 that got fired by MTV so far she is the one that doesn't have a case imo. She was never terminated for being racist or past tweets. She was terminated for her offensive comments in 2020 on the BLM movement which no one else have done especially under the current climate. MTV/Viacom/BMP knows how to cover their ***** with cases like this on the contracts she signed.

With that being said regardless if they have everything to win they would go for a settlement like the ones Farrah Abraham and Tonya Cooley got before they go to court.

Dee just needs to go back to LA, chill on that 250k she won and see what other shows she can hijack if she want to continue reality tv... I hope she has dreams, aspirations, and/or hobbies outside of MTV she can get back to.

Jordan is the type of guy who would say anything during a fight to hurt you. no limits.

He would do it again. He would regret it but he would do it again.

I am btw not calling for boycotting Jordan.

100% agree.

Some of the folks jumping on the cancel Jordan bandwagon are pretty ridiculous to me. If Nia and Jordan are cool to this day then that says more than enough. Making an example out of a minority woman champ like Dee and a handicapped 3x champ individual like Jordan is beyond silly. Most of the people on these forums talking smack about Jordan couldn't walk a mile in his shoes. If someone is able to taunt someone for a handicap such as half a hand which they were born with, then they can be made fun of in whatever way comes to them. This is the Real World/Challenge Reality tv show, not Model Citizens. Most of the people in this forum/social media talking about canceling people have and would completely flip out over FAR LESS. Yeah, jump on the bandwagon of canceling a minority girl and handicapped dude, makes perfect sense. The Black Lives Matters movement is going on because too much of the population lacks empathy and always has, most likely always will. If you want to not be part of the problem then learn empathy or enjoy living in this world that you help create. There are plenty of individuals that truly deserve to be canceled and have done way worst things with no remorse. They also weren't doing it to defend themselves. On this show especially.  Oh, and they aren't cool to this day with the people they belittled, because they have zero desire to and will never admit wrong/make amends.  Perhaps point a finger there way and stop trying to protect the average "fan favorites"

I think Black lives Matter exists because Black People keep being murdered in the streets at disproportionate rates. idk maybe I woke up on the wrong side of the bed on February 26th 2012 or after the acquittal of the murderer of Trayvon Martin....

i don't remember it being about the fragile feelings of two non black people

Said it with his whole chest only to be loud & wrong. ROFL

Black Lives Matters exists the same reason #Metoo and all the other recent popular movements exists. Most folks need a popular movement to jump on a bandwagon and do something. If more folks really cared it wouldn't come to the movements or protests. You can call it the fragile feelings of two non black people if you like, just remember that when you hear the many folks that claim the fragile feelings of black people and all will be well if they but merely worked harder and cleaned up their own communities. Lack of empathy for others plights and going after the wrong ones will not end these type of cycles. Going after a handicap man that has experienced endless hardships from birth and never made any type of excuse is not the way to bring about change for other peeps experiencing hardships from birth

Just ****.

Just ****.

^Another bandwagoner spotted. I want you to be quiet and hush because you don't agree with my line of logic! I"M ANGRY AND MY STRUGGLES MATTER MORE! Yes, that's the way to win people over and have them sympathize with your plights. You're really showing everyone who's boss by doing that on top of canceling other minorities and disabled peeps whom have there own problems from birth. Keep educating folks and succeeding like the guy that brought up Trayvon and the other bandwagoner on the big chest ridiculousness
