Battle of the sexes is a terrible theme. The girls will always lose unless the guys are super weak and the girls are elite but even then it's still meh so no we never need that again.

Id like to see an Inferno or Gauntlet theme reappear personally i feel like thats the most likely of the older themes that would work well today

separate teams by race or sexuality....age.....east coast west coast residents

its not difficult....production is just incompetent and incapable (bless their hearts)

With the gays they'd pick the lgbt team would get destroyed.

the women would save them. Nicole, Laurel, Cara, Sarah, Kaycee, Erica Hill .....

throw in Billy R, Frank S, Shane L, Sean L and it might even be a fair fight

So? The Brits they picked got destroyed. The Challengers they picked got destroyed...**** The Real World got destroyed....

Just imagine Derek Chavez, JD, Jozea, and Shane Raines all on the same team. They wouldn't win a single challenge.

So how is that theme any better lol

Inferno or Cutthroat would both balance the teams, but they need a format that doesn't make one alliance run the entire game on each team. At the very least they have to use the relic

Yes this ^-

I would make an hybrid format that has the following to prevent that:

- Secret team voting (cutthroat style)

- Person going in has the opportunity to call out anyone who didn't win the daily.

-Lifeshield (Inferno) Best performer from the team gets a lifeshield preventing him to get called out.

Granted there are different sectors of the fanbase....i could give a flying **** about the competition...i want drama, fights and *****ing....

Whoever wins aint giving me no money and whoever loses aint causing me a deficit....of course my favorite character was Beth so....

love all of this! I do miss the life shield, it def shook things up from time to time. I also miss the score board...not every season but I think it would be interesting to bring back for a season

The thing is people now know how reality tv works and although somebody like Stephen Bear is close to being a similar troll...it just doesnt have the same effect as it did when people were genuinely having fun with the experience and not making careers out of it....

Like knowing they have nothing else to but perform antics on the show kinda lessens the effect of it whereas somebody like Beth could troll and quit without giving a shit....these people NEED this shit and the attention from it....but thats with anything over an extended time like Love and Hip Hop in its first few years was seemingly raw (staged) dramatics...now its just staged setups with different settings and a new generation attempting to captivate the same way the previous already did...

Beth knew exactly how reality tv works by the time she started doing the challenges and she like the attention as much as anyone doing reality tv now.

The biggest problem is in fact people tryharding to get casted and make a career out of it. With that being said, the fault lies within the production team and how they cast. If they rotated the cast and didn't push certain people to be the face of the show (granted perhaps it wouldn't have survived for this long) I think we would have less tryharders.

If anyone knows how to watch seasons before Fresh Meat 2, can you dm me the links. Thanks!

Absolutely and she did a great portrayal of a dramatic character....but at the time she was an anomaly among the cast, where you had Cameran Eubanks who could give a shit about tv was goofy and aint wanna conpete worth a ****....*****y lil Angela Trimbur and JacqueseSmith/Randy Barry types who weren't cookie cutter fit as a typecast character, in contrast to amateur athletes now...

Mind you I appreciate the shows longevity and the cast evolution, it just doesnt hold the same value that I esteem of prior seasons before the social media boom....nonetheless i wish for their (production & cast) continuedsuccess

cameron made it quite clear both Challebge seasons she did she was not there to compete lol but I still really enjoyed seeing her both times. I agree 100% with what you said in all of your posts.

it could happen. Inferno 2&3, gauntlet 2 had it pretty balanced on both sides. In the ruins defense, had the challengers not eliminated Brianna over Casey and had both brad and Casey not made deals with the other team to throw challenges, that would have been a more balanced competition.

plus Diem deciding to leave didn't help matters.

Assuming Diem wouldve been voted in anyway, I'll take her leaving over Tonya....as that lead to the chaotic 4th episode we got and...eventually secured the absence of the toothbrush brigade.

It wouldve been wicked awkward for Tonya to win Inferno 3 and be the first eliminated player on the next two seasons she'd compete on (ignoring Dave M quitting the island)

It's still hella possible for them to create balanced teams. Pick an interesting theme that would open the cool more, lay out all the cards, see if it's actually realistic for each side to compete competitively given how many champs or expereicned people are on each side, make sure you do the same for your alts and backups.

Also redefining what a veteran and rookie (not saying the P word) is at this point in time would really help rather than just calling everyone a vet after one Challenge.

majority of recent challenges twists have never hit to me. I don't even like how they did season 35's twist thus far either. I actually liked the kill card on Free Agents and the randomness of Dirty 30 because it's a milestone season and it just made sense to me to have a wild card season. But outside of that the redemptions, the purges, double eliminations, the mercenaries, the grenades, white skulls, etc. have all flopped. What would we say were the worst format/twists of the earlier seasons were without the nostalgia kicking in? It's hard for me to really find major flaws.

I will say that if we got another Duel in the past I would have liked for them to change the format again because Duel 2 was tiring.
