I know the vets make a certain amount of money for making it past the halfway point but do they get extra incentive for making it to the final? I kind of miss when everyone who made it to the final got a little bit extra, to me it just seems cruel watching people walk away from a final and compete without getting anything extra in return.

It weird how the Challenge goes back and forth on equal representation of gender. On Vendetta, they specifically let 2 guys and 2 girls in the second stage despite Leroy finishing 3rd overall in stage one, and yet here, they just are like whoever finishes first.
Plus, what is the point of gendered eliminations throughout the season if you're not going to be consistent at the end?
Don't get me wrong, the season is miles better because they didn't take advantage of the format but still any logical person should have never thrown in a member of their own team
The format is perfect for the drama they want, though. You're coming from the perspective that it's about buiding the best team but often alliances/friends matter more and the betrayal of voting in your own team just adds to that drama.
The format could have also gone the way of the strong people grouping together to pick off the weak like on Gaunlets but both are valid and expected potential outcomes of the format.
So ridiculous how Paulie and Cara survive the purge after that flop but Leroy and Ashley don't. Daylight robbery. Production always gotta do some extra bullshit

I think the teams should've been even since the beginning of the final. Imo that first part was a disadvange for the US team, 4 people were carrying more weight than the other 4 people in the UK team. One would think that having more people in your team would be an advantage but instead that also meant solving more individual puzzles and more people eating = more time. What was the point of winning almost every daily challenge all season? I don't think production thought it too well and maybe that's why they came up with that dumb penalty for the UK team, 10 min was way too long. I wonder what the outcome would've been if Ashley switched teams when she had the chance, UK would've still won but who would've been purged?
No sympathy for anyone on team usa tbh. They are all idiots. This format is broken, they won most of the missions, they didn't need to throw in anyone from their own team.

I can't believe Paulie, Cara, and Ninja made part two of the final over Leroy, Kam and Ashley. That was ****. If anything, combine what happened with part one and the puzzle.
