Thank you so much for that link. Couldn't find the episode anywhere.

Yes thanks I tried to find non-us survivor links but always came up short.

TASTE!

Danni SNATCHING the win from **** at FTC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Would be cool if they did camo buffs.

Someone really said the n word twice and they didn't show it? Smh CBS

I honestly get Julie and Julia confused lol.

Anyways. We all know CBS likes to cover up the racism that happens on their reality shows. SMH they even know better.

I wonder who it was, it wasn't her or ron.

Well she really doesn’t like Aubrey, everyone else she seems cool with but I can’t see Aubrey saying it. I can see Joe saying it.

Maybe it was Aubrey or Joe and CBS pulling a MTV and protecting them.

I don’t think it was them protecting anyone, I don’t think it mattered who said it. It wasn’t relevant to the story. Whoever I said it don’t think had racist intent, they were quoting lines from movies. A lot of people don’t think repeating it is the same as saying it. I do wish they would have played that so people could understand why it is hurtful and not ok but I also understand from CBS point. Personally, I couldn’t say it because I realize the history behind it but I do wish someone in a group of 8 other people someone would have explained it. Ron runs a school which is predominately if not all black and married to a black man he should have said something.

"iM TirED oF tHe RaCe cArD!"

"WhY DoeS EveRyThInG hAvE tO bE aBouT RacE?"

Seems to me it's always the perpetrator bringing race up & not the actual people these incidents happen to but somehow melanin-rich folk are "always playing the race card"......

He did, she mentioned he was the one who stepped up and they bonded over that

He said something to her later but I think he should have said something in the moment. He knew she was uncomfortable. I get with her being the minority in a social game she didn’t want to be seen playing the race card or confrontational but he could have said something respectfully.

In her full article she mentioned he was the one who called the person out then the whole tribe had an hour long conversation about race.

Oh yeah. I forgot about that. I read it late last night and just recalled him coming up to her the next day. This totally will get her blacklisted from CBS but hopefully in the future they are more diverse with their cast. Hopefully this article is read by people high up before Grodner tries to get away with casting another unaware church lady as her token minority.

And, to be fair, people are playing a game for a million dollars.  Ron likely didn't want to do anything to could be seen as confrontational day one.  Doesn't mean he or someone else shouldn't have said something but it's understandable why he (and Julia) didn't react the first time it was said.  Everything on Survivor is "game"--it's the only reason anyone goes on the show

Yeah she admitted this, saying in the real world she wouldn't hesitate to call them out, but she didn't want to be seen as oversensitive or the one who didn't get along on the first day. She also mentioned that she chose game over emotion despite the fact it was hard for her.

She hit the nail on the head with the difference between diversity and inclusion, how having one or two black people on a season isn't doing anything if they don't get storylines or are just stereotypes. She even shaded them in her audition tape by having one of the first things she said being "I know what you're thinking, but I can swim"

Part of the probelm was that Wentworth's tribe was so bad that no one really got time besides that group in those first few episodes.  I actually thought they did a nice job with Julia.  She was one of the few people on the other tribe that I knew who she was.  The only thing she was wrong about was saying Joe was given too much credit for them winning.  Julia and others performed well but Joe can carry any team.  Switch Joe and David...what happens?
