The reason Theo is doing so good is because he is killing these check points. I wonder what part 2 is going to be like.

yeah he really paced himself in his run and the check points shaved a lot of time

I feel like his lead should be bigger tho maybe it’s just me but watching it it felt like he was much better at that than Wes and Turbo. Wes timed out on puzzles a few times and Turbo cried through his entire third lap and fell off his bike

This is final is kind of boring.. no excitement lol

Um IV bags are good for you tf lol

CM a strong woman? LOL.

If the final requires a ******* iv, then it's too much for only 3 people to make money

Why are the times so close MTV you not slick

Fans complained about the most recent finals so much that they went overboard into the other direction this time.....when was the last time people collabsed during a final? Maybe cutthroat?Don´t love it, especially with only one winner - everyone finishing it should get money.

and wasn’t cutthroat only 12 miles? Lol

this final looks ridiculously difficult and way too over the top. the fact that they have to get IV’s as some “gift” lol. I truly applaud for anyone running it, whether I hate them or not.

Casuals are gonna give mattie **** like 90% of them wouldn't have quit after the first full lap

Ninja bothered my at the beginning of the episode when she watched the scene of Georgia falling over on her bike, trying to stand up, disorientated, collapses, tries to stand a final time, and eats **** a third time.I'm sure production told them all beforehand that if someone's in trouble that they had medics on site that would handle it, because there's NO way any decent humanbeing that would see that unfold and just trot on by and then look back on the situation, like, "Yeah, I felt really BAD for Georgia...... But $1,000,000, right? TF am I supposed to do? Get help? LOLz!"

That final was brutal and Theo was just killing it. Ain't no way I could do this.

No one can do this. I'm surprised any of these finalists can do it. This is borderline torture. They need to go back to more simplistic but also challenging finals.

That final is too much but I would like to try not because I think I could finish but to experience what sort of strength and endurance would be necessary to do it. It seems exciting but over the top tbh and like someone said if they need IV bags you know it's too ****** up. Also for only 3 people to get money when there was 8 people running it seems ****** up having in consideration that this is the hardest final ever. Also for doing shit like this they shouldn't just be getting 750k. But oh well. I'm impressed with Theo and he has by far the best well rounded strategy. I think the ones that gassed out first made the rookie mistake of giving it all in the first lap/puzzle.

I'd def wanna do it lol Kinda dissapointed in Mattie but it's rough to see everyone in such bad shape. Didn't like Ninja all season but I oddly find myself kinda rooting for her here. Also surprised with how well Wes is doing since he's not really known for his endurance.

I actually liked this final. It was one of the hardest I've seen. Props to all of them especially Theo & Wes.

Just wondering something... If Paulie had made it to the final, do you think he would have slowed his own pace just so CaraMaria could keep up with him and they could "win together"?  And would CM have wanted/expected him to do that?

he probs would do his own pace. he;d help CM had they cross paths tho, I suppose.

Superfan Paulie not treating this like the Olympics? Lolol

Paulie cares 10x more about winning the title than he does about Cara

I really wish Paulie would have been in the final over Hunter

Props to everyone for trying this final. Georgia learned a harsh lesson in pacing herself and I’m glad that Mattie didn’t get yelled at for “quitting” considering she ran/biked 12+ miles in a sandy desert.

Theo, Wes, Turbo, and Ninja were all impressive. Top 3 are within 30 minutes of each other which is closer than it seems in a super long race.

Natalie getting a 5 minute rest in an air conditioned vehicle doesn't seem fair.

Or maybe it's not fair that they're being pushed to the point of passing out in the sand...but no you're right they should have just left her there to die

I agree, particularly about Turbo.

Theo really killed it. He handled the laps well, and he also completed checkpoints that others timed out on (I think he completed 4 of the 5). He finished in 5:34. Wes did it in 5:44, which was close considering he timed out on several checkpoints but maybe he did better on some of the laps? Turbo finished in 5:58, so within 14 minutes of Theo. That definitely seemds odd considering how Turbo labored on the laps and timed out on most checkpoints. WTF MTV? Natalie finished in 6:35 and Cara in 6:43. Hunter was at 7:03.

Those are impressive times overall when you consider they basically ran a marathon in the sand. I know some parts were on the bike, but most of them walked a lot of those miles. Plus biking in sand isn't exactly easy.

Way to get dramatic. I didn't say anything about leaving her there to die. But it's certainly possible it helped her body to get that rest and more so the cool air. What about giving her a penalty or something?

Yeah they really thought biking would make it easier but didn't think about it being on ******* sand

Idk, seems like they were generally about the same pace. Even if you completed the puzzle, almost all of them took a decent amount of time. So it’s like 16 minutes finishing it instead of timing out in 20. Enough to make a difference but not enough to put you super far behind if you time out.

Time’s seemed right to me. 14 minutes between Theo and Turbo may not seem like much but that’s like 2 miles of a running head start. Will be interesting to see if wes and turbo can catch up.

I agree with everyone else that they go way over the top with this final. Half of the distance would be more than enough especially because they are doing it in the desert. And it could be done in just one day in a straight race with no shenanigans from production.

However i still prefer this final 1000x times over a stupid weak final like the FR one. My biggest problem with this final is not even the distance/difficulty, but having males and females competing as equals when males have a huge advantage... I just want 2 winners.

And the times are surprisingly good. Running a marathon in the desert with all those checkpoints in just 6 hours is not for everyone. Even the difference between men and females and are much lower than what i expected.

Finally, huge props for Georgia. She was definitely the biggest surprise of the season in both competition and personality. I hope to see her again. Mattie however disappointed me... i expected much more from her and i think is obvious now that she wont be a new Laurel. However she demonstrated an amazing personality and probably have the biggest fair play from the entire house. I also want to see her again.
