So if Jp and CT had made a deal...they would get a restart?

IF jp got ct ring...ct has to fight kyle to get one ring .... JP doesn't interfere because no one is attached on his ring?

If that is the case....as soon someone wins a ring, the other 2 should have made deal...This could go on forever, unless you got 2 fast like mattie did before they make deals

what’s not clicking? They all started at the same position with the same hands on the same rings baby. Let JP struggle and fling himself after you let go then drag Kyle to the ground and use your weight to rip it away and reset.

Theo or someone tweeted that JP was basically ignoring Kyle and only going after CT.  So basically once Kyle got the ring from JP, CT was in the middle fighting two dudes with their full attention on them.  JP looked to be bigger than CT, and Kyle is pretty big as well.  There wasn't any way CT would've won that, especially considering he's not near in shape like he used to be.

The only thing that probably would've worked in his favor is if once JP gave up his ring to kyle, had CT tried to take it to the ground.  Use his weight to his advantage.

JP was ignoring Kyle because Kyle already had his ring. CT should have let go baby like it wasn’t an ideal situation sure but he could have easily got out of that 2v1 by giving JP his ring y’all are really just ignoring how it was set up

Hell CT could have been the first to rip the ring away from Kyle or jp but he wasn't. They are ignoring the fact that he had every opportunity to take a ring before Kyle but didn't.

This part right here is what I had in mind. It wasn't 2 on 1 in that period when Kyle still had JP's ring. CT could've came through right before Kyle took JP's ring but just didn't. But you know how casuals are

it’s just annoying to me because in this case with 3 bigger guys it actually turns out to be an interesting elimination where strategy could come into play. That’s where the fault lies because CT is this big bad experienced vet he should have used that damn brain. He wasn’t defenseless in that situation and for a casual base who gave him so much credit for using his brain against Darrell on Invasion they somehow just didn’t think he could do it here.

He’s out of shape, and washed up. He got comfortable like all the other vets and thought he was gonna have an easy ride to the finals. Old CT was someone you didn’t wanna go against, but this “dad bod” CT is someone you’re like ok bet my chances are better. It’s his own fault & I don’t feel sorry for him. Cut all the excuses. He lost, end of story:

To be fair...they didn't explained the rules...So the casual fans didn't know that CT made a huge mistake. All they saw, is that jp and Kyle ganged up on him.

Well i think that goes back to how JP was basically ignoring Kyle and focusing on CT.  That was at the begining.  So clearly JP - a very large man - was focused on keeping his ring from CT and not so much Kyle, and as such it was a lot easier to Kyle to get the ring.

That said, I also agree with the post about dad-bod CT being washed up.  Like I said earlier in this thread, he isn't taking these things serious anymore and all he is doing at this point is tarnishing his legacy.

And I'm not sure I buy the rule rumor of had CT let go of JP's that they would've reset.  There had to be something in place to prevent that, because honestly if that was in fact a rule then the game would never end if anyone had any intelligence.  Neither of the girls did it either.

Edit:  Just read in another thread where someone said castmembers confirmed on twitter about the reset rule.  If that is the case, then yeah that was both a dumb rule by the Challenge and dumb of CT not to let go.  There had to be something in place to deter a player from letting go in that scenario, otherwise like I said, the game could hypothetically go on forever.  As soon as someone got one ring free, the others would just communicate to let go just to reset.  Dumb elimination IMO

get over it big boy. dont float, next time maybe commit to the one actual friend you have outside this show, wes' alliance.

It didn’t just reset if he let go of JPs ring I don’t know what’s so hard to get about it. If ALL 3 people solely have 1 ring then it resets. Had he let go of JP it would have just made it easier for him to get his ring out of Kyles hand thus causing the reset.

this isn’t rocket science

This...wes always wanted to work with him

I think he had a secret alliance with Wes anyway, he always protected Wes idk what you're talking about lol. He gave him a ball last challenge, didn't want to vote him on the last CvS and even gave him his place on the CvP final.

yea i feel like it’s more of an assumed alliance so he doesn’t feel like he has to talk about it. He said he doesn’t make allies at all but at the end of the day if he has a choice, he’s not gonna choose Wes as the first vote

I wish MTV would transition him to hosting.

As a challenge competitor in my opinion he doesn't have anything else to show and proved. At this point is just looking pathetic and it's time to moved on.

i don't care if they ganged up on him. prime ct would've ate those 2 idiots alive even if they teamed up against him. he's past it, not in shape and fat. it's a shame really cus even a 40 year old ct in shape would beat 95% of the alumni still

It's no shame to loose on your 40th....even Darell lost to Tony.

It's how he lost. He is fat and lazy. A motivated Ct is still welcome but a fat Ct should stay home.

He would be bad at hosting btw, bananas would be actually be better.

It became clear that CT was done when (I forget the season) he made it to a final and was so far behind Jordan and Derrick that he was never seriously in contention.  Then in Champs vs Stars in the final with Tony, he fell behind again, claiming he hurt his back wihle running.

It's almost tragic, really, because back in the day he was legit good at everything.  Could run, lift, and even above average at puzzles.  I don't remember the season but there was one daily early in his challenge career where they had the people go down in the water and sit - I don't remember all the details of the daily because it's been 10+ years ago.  But what I do remember was how they were monitoring heart beats and how almost everyone when they got down there (if they made it) were panicking and their heartbeats were crazy.  CT went and he was just calm.  Heartbeat didn't even rise.  It was impressive to me because I was in the Navy back then and training for dive school, so it stuck out to me.
