I don't get why you get bother when anything about Cory is brought up? Maybe is just me but, The Challenge is on and for the first time, he's not on the season at all. Teen Mom is doing good, yes, but all eyes are on The Challenge right now and the spotlights are especially on the prospects who can potentially "replace" him. He's losing some kind of track, so by him finally revealing his relationship is a way to have all the attention on him again... !!
