She won herself a million dollars by beating Hunter. She may be a *****, but John's an even bigger one.
We all know she didn't beat Hunter but at least you're acknowledging she's a *****. You'll eventually comprehend that what her and John did were the same. You just like one and not the other
She did beat Hunter, but that's fine you can dismiss it if it makes you feel better. What she and John didn't aren't the same. John's trash and salty he got outplayed. Ashley got revenge on a ********* who was shitty to her.

Both are great characters. Marie's one of the worst females to run a final (right there with Casey, Devyn & Sarah G) and Ashley's just an awful human being. Doesn't mean people can't like them as characters but owning that shouldn't be difficult. I like Veronica but can acknowledge she was, at best, a background character the past two seasons
Unlike Casey, Devin, And Sarah G - I think Marie could improve her performance if she gets the opportunity again. There was a lot of things against them this season IMO, that they both looked defeated going into the final.
I've seen nothing from Marie to indicate that she's a competitor. I'll acknowledge that she at least as the ability to be better but she actually has to try.
Cara at least put forth effort from what I saw and tried to be supportive with Marie until the platform part. Marie just wasn't interested. I'd probably really like Marie if she could compete.
Now to be fair to Ashley (I'm trying) how much of this is production's fault for having an objectively terrible idea? At some point you can't just blame the players, you have to blame the people that came up with the rules that could easily be exploited.
Yeah. I really hope they don't do this shit anymore. BOTH people in a team should get a cut of the money. Period.

...or if she could host that way she's there and entertaining but doesn't have to compete or leave early. I lowkey want to see Amanda in that role too.
Also, at least for me, this isn't about feeling bad for Hunter. I don't like Hunter or care if he's devastated. This is about Ashley's actions. There's a lot to be said for being the bigger, better person. In the end, all she did was prove Hunter's right.

And every team that makes the final should get some cash. Even if 4th place splits 5k

I agree here. Honestly if Ashley was just like "you know, it's a lot of money and I want it" there'd be a lot less backlash than her trying to spin things and bend reality to make her look like the good one. The whole "this is for everyone that's been bullied" act really fell flat. You wanted the money, you had the opportunity to take it, and you took it. The end. There was nothing else needed to be said.

I agree with this though. Even if Hunter was a good partner to her(Which he mostly was honestly) she STILL would've took it. Own your shit and move on.
I agree--had Ashley just taken the money without the speech and simply said "it's a life-changing amount of money and I have to do what's best for me" I still would have believed she should have shared it but I would have at least respected her for handling it with class. It pains me to say that John handled it better. John. Who I still, after all these years, call John.
Since this needs to be restated from the Ashley thread:
Imagine training for a still-obscure-after-20-years show + stealing your good fellow piece of shit friend Kenny's personality for the past 13 years of your life & only having your Challenge wins to your name, then some random trainwreck comes & surpasses you for money won in a span of a little under 2 years >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
You THOUGHT you had the most talked-about Challenge moment.
I disagree but whatever sis.
lool this was the only episode i watched this season.. definitely shitty
Por el amor de Dios, thank you. Thank you.

I just realized today that Ashley is 6 years older than Hunter lol wow
Was this season worth a watch?
That too.
anyone else see sylvia and marie tweeting about how they still think sylvia/joss actually won and not ashley/hunter?

Definitely the best out of the trilogy but very hard to rewatch for me lol

marie tweeted that she tried to use their grenade on ashley & hunter but production didn't let them
production wanted ashley to win.
wouldn't be surprised if all the other 7 got a paycheck of some kind just for a tv moment.

well, can't say I'm surprised. Joss/Sylvia winning doesn't do anything for the show. They split the money and everyone pretends they're happy for them
If half the things people accuse production of are true, that'd be enough for a revolution and a lot of people to stop watching. That's crazy.
So bascially they planned for Ashley/Hunter to win and they had Ashley win so they can get their moment.
she didn’t say production didn’t let them
Production definitely wanted the best shot of someone stealing the money which wasnt Joss/Sylvia
she said...
