It's just a series of bad decisions with MTV. **** poor casts, terrible editing, non-existing promotion, etc. Unless they fix that, they can keep it off the air.

I totally agree about the Netflix thing, like others have said with today's climate and if they cast actually diverse people and then being on netflix they wouldn't need to censor so much. I also think now would be a great time to bring back true life. They could be covering issues like different mental health issues, certain political views, abusive relationships etc. they could really make those two programs their "informational" outlets tackling real issues. It could really give MTV some substance on their network which is currently seriously lacking.

All this College Hill talk makes me wanna go back and watch but BET are hiding those seasons in a vault somewhere.

If it’s not on Netflix or Hulu then they can keep this in the can. Netflix would bring in huge numbers or if they choose Hulu they get ad revenue while keeping the 43 minute time slot.

Either way, it needs to be raw, real, and completely uncensored that would reinvent it in a way that would even make me consider taking a liking to this. We all know casting will suck and ruin it unless major changes are made ✌️

You can show anything on Netflix just like HBO. Nudity and vulgarity are the least problematic thing on Netflix when shows like OITNB and 13 Reasons Why are their most popular shows.

Definitely co-signing the Netflix idea, probably the only way I’ll care about the reboot

Looking at the news there's so much going on in the world today and I feel like there's a gap in the market for a show like RW to bring all the issues going on under one roof to really see how people with different beliefs coexist. If done right it could do well.

it’s defenitely there, conversations are being held left and right on social media. Young People are talking and seeing a visual representation of it could be amazing but I don’t think they have the balls to actually make something that shakes the table

Yeah I definitely fear that some of the same jack *** producers from the challenge would work on a RW reboot and see things like conversations about things that actually matter as "boring" and try to push cast into being dumber, sluttier etc. I want like a documentary director to take charge of a new season. Provide facts and real conversations, and just let shit naturally play out. If anything the early era of RW should show that people are often much crazier than we can even imagine on their own. Of course it would need a wild night here or there but with the way alot of reality TV is these days (not real) i fear the morons who typically do casting would just fill a house full of IG models. I wanna see people with aspirations to do something other than selling flat tummy tea.

Netflix needs a reality series too, Real World would be perfect. Having it on a streaming service could possibly get old viewers interested again.

You know Viacom is already extra about streaming services, they don’t even let Real World or the Challenge on Hulu anymore. I bet they won’t let it be sold off and produced by BMP on another platform

If they are out there announcing it on billboard site & stuff then I am pretty sure viacom is okay with the idea

UGH and I wish they would release old seasons to both of those services. I don't think they're doing themselves any favors by not putting them on there. ABC has a contract to still play commercials even if you have the commercial free plan for HULU so they could make money with ads and honestly keep people more interested. I think if someone could hop on netflix or hulu and binge watch old challenges, RW, RR etc it would garner more interest in their shows/network. Like how are people supposed to be interested in a show they can't watch old seasons of to understand story lines?? Why would you gain a new audience if they can't go back and see why people love/hate some people etc? DUMB AF on Viacoms part.

A real worlder can be making their crossover to another network (not bananas) if everything goes as good as its going.

not a fan of her but glad she’s making huge moves.

If Netflix is interested in Real World I’m sure they would also want all of other seasons to be on Netflix along with creating newer seasons.

Every Real World season being on Netflix>>>>

It would be a hit on there, imo.

Is it who you were telling me about the other day?

I don’t even wanna think about how unsocial I would be for a month if that happened lol I would straight biiinnge. Ugh to watch the first New Orleans, Chicago, Austin and Sydney again.

Netflix barely has any reality TV content of both it's own and from other networks. I'm honestly surprised they haven't jumped in on the market since it's bringing in strong numbers for several channels.

TOLD Y'ALL **** TO KEEP THE FAITH! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I think Netflix is the only way this show can survive honestly because I know MTV doesn’t give a shit about the legacy this show has left, they’re too worried about trying to make a quick buck for these cheaply/poorly produced reality shows.

Viacom just has stop being cheap and give the producers creative control along with new editors with better casting.

a real worlder going on bb20?!?!?   It would make sense,  bb peeps are going on the challenge now so it would be fitting to put someone from the challenge on bb

I would die if all the real world seasons came on Netflix

I agree on casting choices. Let's be real, they really need to stop casting these aspiring models/actors. They are usually good looking, but have little going on upstairs. They just think the Real World will launch them to something bigger, and that's the only reason they want to be on. Cast some people with some diverse interests and aspirations for once.

yeah like give me the guy who wants to be a liberal journalist, and a future senator, and a chef and a country guy who’s never left the south and like one aspriring actor.
