Diem is just used to promote it, medgift probably gets VERY little. The whole thing is a fraud for Challengers to get some extra money to avoid getting real jobs, paid to travel, and feel secure and relevant having fans come to meet them.
A lot of people going on these trips to promote medgift, didn't know Diem or ever met her so they're definitely going for the money and themselves.....

Basically how the castmembers should do it without getting paid and all the profits should go towards the charity/Diem's fund. I feel like her and some others, like Kailah, aren't asked because certain people on the guest list don't want them there ****.

Someone told me there was a “mini” throwdown today, I suppose its for those 21 and under. It was $50 and was advertised as a meet the cast type opportunity. Fans waited an hour ... No castmembers showed up until the organizer had to call Darrell Derrick and Hunter. That lasted 15 minutes before they left

I know, but Cara has been to multiple before. She’s really the only one I can think of who’d do it maybe
I would just donate my money directly to MedGift. No way in **** would I go to a event to feed the ego of some washed up reality stars making the day more about them than Diem.
Ok but how many of y’all have actually spoken to cast members to see their intentions and such? Ashley K, Derrick, and Jemmye seemed the most into it being an actual fundraiser for Diem. The series just started so obviously not all the proceeds are going to MedGift but you have the option to donate to them as well. Yes it also an event for fans to get to meet Challengers and most of the contestants were super cool about it. A few let it get over their heads (like Tori and Jordan leaving super early) but that’s expected. It’s not a perfect thing so idk why y’all make it seem like it should be. Every event has its initial growing pains.

Supposedly each castmember gets around 1K, I’d imagine Bananas & CM are paid more though.
I don’t know why anyone is surprised these people are getting paid and keeping their appearance checks. I did volunteering at Comic Relief in London a few years back and one of the bands scheduled to play pulled out because they wanted more money.
My best friend went to NYC last night and said it was a lot of fun and that Ashley K is definitely the prettiest. I just moved to Orlando and am thinking of going to the one at the end of the month.

Ashley K has donated portions (or all) of her appearance fee to Medgift or elsewhere. Tori Hall might have as well but I heard Ashley definitely has.
