I have a question that might already have been addressed (sorry); it involves the stealing of the prize money. I didn't watch "Rivals 3" but I know that Johnny got to make the decision to take the money from Sarah and now Ashley has done the same to Hunter. My question is how was it determined that Johnny and Ashley had the power to do that? I did see a post a little before mine (#13659) about the possibility of the steal-or-don't-steal decision being made before the final began but if that's not the case, did production just decide which of the two team members got to make the call? Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.
On Rivals 3 they time each pair and whoever had the faster time decided.
On ayto second chances: Every pair had to choose share or steal. If they both steal no money for either, if they share half/half & if one steal & the other share then whoever stole got all the money.
On this one personally I havent heard how they set it up
its difficult to imagine Ashley beating Hunter on time, therefore people assume it's some kind of share/steal thing
Difficult to imagine? Ashley is built for finals. A deflated hunter cant compare.
Ashley is built for finals but anything involving Running Hunter proved in Invasion he’s better than most people at. If there was a strength portion as well
if there wasn’t either then the final was truly gender neutral and therefore that would eliminate an excuse for Cara Marie. Either way a popular Vevmo opinion will be debunked and we’ll find out later
I feel like Ashley outperformed Hunter in anything based on puzzles/intelect based which is what Hunter lacks. Other than that, I just don't see what else is there since Hunter is good with strenght and endurance. :( Can he swim though?
There were three male/female pairs and one f/f but Cara is definitely on par or even better than Paulie individually. So i see no issues regarding gender neutrality.
I can imagine Smash beating hunter because I am assuming there were puzzles involved and he is just not going to beat her in that.
true... puzzle heavy final doesn't bode well for Hunter. but they obviously had to do well enough to still win as a team. if Hunter is just sitting there for an hour trying to figure out how to put a square peg in a round hole, they don't win

yeah pretty much every guy on this show except 3 or 4 are not good at puzzles so a puzzle heavy Final is the perfect way to make it gender neutral. I don’t see Cara Marie getting 4th in a puzzle heavy final with equalizers tho

But remember like in Rivals 3, they can help their partners once they get done with their stuff.

it could just be hunter disregarding the points system and thinking there’s no way she’d do it. I mean,we didn’t think it’d happen.

could be true, pink hinted that it didn’t work the same but didn’t know the details so it’ll be interesting to see how it all went down

so is Cara. she still needed production to close the gap for her before the final leg between her and Zach
The difference is that Zack and Cara were competing individually in the physical part, so it was normal for Zack to outrun her, while Hunter and Ash were running as a team, so if there were any points to collect, the checkpoints were the place to do it. Ash could easily outperform Hunter there, if they were mostly equlaizers.
Thank you to Pink Rose and everyone else who answered my question about the money steal. The timing thing makes sense but if I were on the losing end, I'd still be mightily ticked off.

Gonna be one of the best seasons yet

what is Joss thinking?
We went from thinking Amanda hooked up with Kyle to Joss, thank you God for your hard work.
Facts
I don't know about that. He might have just assumed she wouldn't take it and wasn't trying to beat her in points. Sarah almost beat Bananas.
Actually, you right. Cara would pout about the format being a disavantage for them than saying Marie sucked or not. I rescind my statement.

Just now realized how Ashley M is a certain character from West world. She really hooked up with her man and then went in for the kill.

I was just about to say this.
also possible like Redemption, that Ash pulled the double cross at the end.
Also as much as i love Cara she's built for reaching finals, not necessarily winning them. Ashley is the opposite.
When God decides that Ashley truly deserves the million >>>>>>
I could see it being a double cross between the two of them
When Ashley leads the Heroes to victory on The Inferno, don’t @ me.
